The absolute worst experience of my lifetime. Scope of services were misrepresented, the work was substandard, was contracted out, not completed, and I lost nearly $7500 in cash withheld by Bruce and had to pay another $10,000 to repair shoddy workmanship. My pleas and calls were unanswered and I was left with a feeling of being taken and contempt for Bruce and his company. DO NOT ENGAGE THIS COMPANY.

Selected Complete Exteriors to install Longboard siding to freshen up the appearance of our house. Paid a substantial deposit. Twelve months later, no work has been done. Bruce continually put back the promised start date blaming wet weather delays initially then incomplete delivery of ordered materials. No materials have been delivered to the project site. Bruce promised on several occasions to return my deposit, but failed on each occasion to do so. I filed a small claims claim, and received a judgement in default in my favour. Still waiting to get my money back.
I would not recommend this contractor

Dealing with Bruce and his company has been a nightmare. Originally we gave him a substantial deposit in March so that materials could be ordered and a promise to complete the work 'as soon as the weather permitted in May'. We were told that our project would take 2 or 3 days.

After countless attempts to reach Bruce as May turned into June, he produced constant excuses and many times just didn't show up on dates 'promised' to begin the work. We had finally had enough and asked for our money to be returned - no materials had been produced (he ended up ordering the wrong siding) and no work had been completed. He finally told us to call another contractor (who had NOTHING positive to say about Bruce as it turned out) this was now late October. The job ended up being completed in November at a GREATER cost (at this point we just wanted the job completed before the Winter and it was clear Bruce was not going to be completing the job).

It is virtually impossible to reach Bruce as his voicemail is constantly full and he has now, as with others who have posted here, stopped returning our calls. He continuously makes promises he cannot keep - we have heard every excuse in the book. Bruce still has $500 of our money that he has “promised”, for weeks, to repay us (he WAY over estimated on materials and then came to pick up the leftovers to complete another job so he could pay us the money we were owed - which he hasn't done).

I’d go with any other company before opting to deal with Bruce and Complete Exteriors.

Loved Bruce and his crew. Everything he did was better than our expectations, we love our new basement now. It made it easy because he managed the whole project and all I needed to do was deal with him. I would recommend him to anyone.

I hired Bruce and his team to install new flooring in a new property I had purchased. After providing a deposit to book the date of the work, Bruce’s team was fast and efficient and produced excellent work. When challenges came - Bruce took care of it and I had no worries. I would recommend Bruce and his team to anyone.

Apparently I am required to use at least 30 words for this review, but other recent past customers of Bruce's have been threatened in here for saying stuff very similar to what I would say. I could write a lengthy magazine article about the whole 11-month experience of having made the mistake of hiring Bruce, but I don't particularly want the aggro of a threatening lawsuit, on top of the money he hasn't refunded (he disputes it but cannot / will not substantiate the basis for his arriving at different figures), or the work he never completed. I am counting my blessings that I never expect to hear from him again, and I sympathize with the people he has hired (including family members) who mostly do good work. I can't imagine having their company's reputation and livelihood ruined because of us customers who cannot in good conscience recommend hiring this company. I would like to believe that Bruce will acknowledge to himself that he is every homeowner's worst nightmare, and will instead consider retiring rather than trying to justify his failures as a contractor to an ever-growing number of dissatisfied former customers on here, and threatening them to boot. But I don't really believe that'll happen, will it, Bruce?

Sadly we made the mistake of dealing with Bruce and his company, Complete Exteriors. We have had to deal with his mistruths and deceptions and fraudulent work.

Originally did a job on our siding where they didn’t not properly wrap house. We discovered water leaking into house and had another of his crews come inspect and to our worst fears. The entire job was a patch job, didn’t use wrap, correct amount of nails.

Worst is that he removed siding and is claiming he can’t afford to put up new siding. We are now stuck taking legal action

Do yourself a favour and avoid this man and his terrible business, if you have to pay more or wait for someone else, it will be worth your time

Love the new kitchen. The team was easy to deal with. Took a deposit and everything was completed in time. Looking forward to starting the bathroom project soon with these guys.

Got Bruce’s name from HomeStars and had him come by the house in July 2018 for a quote. Seemed like a good guy, knowledgeable and had a good rating on the site so I decided to go with him. Stated he needed a 50% deposit so that he could make arrangements with his supplier who he was visiting down east the next month. Some time passed and we were in pretty regular contact regarding the job and how we should proceed. As it got close to his departure communication from his end became more frequent as he pressed me for the $6000 deposit. I happily obliged sending 2 deposits over the course of 2 days. Apart from acknowledging the deposits communication immediately dropped off. Over the next few months the only conversations we had came after me chasing him down. They followed a similar path, I’ll drop off samples (never did) I’ll be in touch ( never did) and I’m a good guy and wouldn’t rip you off it’s your money (not what good guys do, it seems you would and I still don’t have my money) I decided in January that it was too late in the day to start the job, had a couple of big bills come in so I decided to ask for my deposit back. At first he was very approachable, promised immediate compensation and looked forward to working with me at a later date. He sent me money sporadically only after me hounding him for every cent. Unfortunately he still owes me $1900 after holding my money for 11 months and NOT DOING ANY ACTUAL WORK!!! I have made repeated attempts to contact him and have been reasonable the entire time but to no avail. I would not recommend Bruce under any circumstances as he has proven to be untrustworthy in my exchanges with him. It represents the worst of this industry to give your money to someone you put your trust in to then turn around, ignore your communication attempts and unjustly keep your money all the while professing their integrity which unfortunately, in this case, does not exist. A cautionary tale for I which I take full responsibility for my part in.
