This company installled an AC unit 1 year ago and it has not worked properly in that time. After great effort on my part , the technician have made a total of 4 times, 3 of which have been this summer. They say this is a new unit not refurbished but have dealt with coolant loss after the initial installation and the unit freezing repeatedly this season.
The unit is not functioning as it should, the company; nevertheless, the company expects to be paid. I've spent long periods on hold to speak with apologetic representatives; spent countless sleepless nights in an over-heated home; and soothed cranky, uncomfortable children who cannot sleep all as a result of disfunctional
air conditioning.
If your mechanic did not fix your vehicle, would you pay him and continue to pay the next service visits? I don't think so.

Called Reliance to book a service visit. They sent a service tech (Farid) same day. He called to give me a heads up to his arrival time, was far, efficient, friendly and explained what he was doing (I'm curious) each step and sorted out the problem fast. Thanks!

I am impressed by the options offered by the sales person. The installation was also done professionally. I am looking forward to a good relationship with Reliance and will not hesitate to recommend the company to friends and colleagues.

I heard the advertisement about Reliance home comfort 3 months ago, at the same time my heat furnaces are old and taking a lot of energy to run. So I decided to give Reliance home comfort call . They came and survey my house and suggested the 2 right furnaces with a great installation . We are very happy with the services.

We had our furnace replace back in 2016. Initially Reliance had presented several payment options one of which includes a rental plan with the option to pay out within 12 months finance free. We opted for this one at the time since we knew we were going to buy the unit outright. Everything was done and paid for within the 12 month time frame and we had thought this was the end of it. Fast forward to 2018/2019 when we went to refinance our mortgage and we find out that Reliance placed a lien on our home title without our knowledge back in 2016 and they are unable to remove it to this day. You can see the dilemma this will put any homeowner in. After more than 3 months of calls, the issue is still not resolved since Reliance does not have Power of Attorney registered in Alberta as of yet. Their head office in Toronto cannot discharge either and we are left with no choice but to hire our own lawyer to get this done and incurred their fees with no reimbursements. This is poor business and absolutely unacceptable that homeowners are not made aware of this at the time of the initial quote and this has led us to incur more costs now years later for an issue that wasn't even made public to us at the time. Very shady business if you ask me. This is a warning for all consumers out there looking at hiring Reliance. Be aware of their business practices and ask if they put a lien on your title before the work is done.

It's the dead of winter, I just bought a new house and the furnace doesn't work, my house is freezing cold, I called customer service for help, I was transferred to 3 different people, the third woman that I tried to speak with so incredibly rude and was not helpful at all! I would never recommend anyone to this company!

Had my furnace repaired 4 months ago (Sept 2018). With repeat service fees and replacement part paid just over 1000. 4 months later the furnace has stopped working again. Placed a call to have someone look into it and was told there will be another service fee and I should have purchased the protections plan.

4 months seems like a short time frame to not honour repair work/replacement parts.

Removed 2 hot water tanks and installed hot water on demand system. Professional clean and neat installation. So much more room now to move around in the utilities closet. Will be calling soon to retire the old furnace!
