Replacing Roof Shingles

I had posted my first review with my concerns a few weeks back. Alex, the owner, contacted me and came for examining the job and addressing my concerns. Later he came with his team and took care of all my concerns. He also installed two extra vents without charge.

A few words about Alex: He is a man of character with valuable principals which is rare in any industry. I selected Reliable Roofers among 5 other companies that came for estimation just because Alex's personality and professionalism. I'm glad that I met Alex and selected his company.

Replacing Roof Shingles

Despite the fact I had been told by the owner at time of estimation that they cover all wood work and ensure everything is good before laying the shingles the crew was reluctant to replace damaged woods and trying to get the job done asap. Still there are places that the wood should have been replaced. I had to call him and ask him to talk to his crew. He also had recommended to add new ventilation which didn't happen, despite the fact I reminded him on the day of job. I had to examine all aspects of the job myself which I found out they forgot to place drip edge on one side of the roof. After notifying the partner who showed up on site and the supervising and examination are supposed to be his job, the worker place a drip edge sheet under existing shingles without securing it by nail. It's impossible to nail a drip edge after the underlayment sheet and shingles are in place. All corners of the roof's wood were exposed because no drip edge had been place. I had to do it myself as much I could with considerable amount of time and difficulties despite the owner had told me he would take care of the missing drip edge.
Bottom line is there is no trust and reliability in this company. I selected this company for its high rating and the owner's presentation which proved to be not reliable and trustworthy.
