I was initially happy with them when they installed my furnace, AC and Hot Water tank back in 2014. Last month they recommended doing a general maintenance of all the three equipment to which I said yes. On the day of the maintenance (June 6, 2019) the technician showed around 10am, by 11h30am the technician had broken my Hot Water and my AC. To fix the Hot water they told me I have to get the "original" pressure valve and the part had to be ordered and i could take 4 to 5 days, since the technician already broke the old pressure valve they told me that I will not have hot water for 4 to 5 days which was UNREASONABLE, so in order to fix it I had to pay them $55.00 (UPFRONT) to get a generic part in the meantime, a piece that you can buy at home depot for $15.00
By 3pm the technician, still at my house not sure doing what, asked me if I know how to turn on the AC from my thermostat (aren't they supposed to be the experts?), so I tried to show him but to my surprise the AC (cool option) was not showing on my thermostat, I can only use the heat. The technician spent the next 3 hours trying to figure out what happened but he left at 6pm telling me that he will come back the next day (June 7th, 2019) to try to fix the AC issue, but in the meantime he wanted me to see the new pressure valve that apparently took him 8 hours to install. To my surprise the entire basement floor where my equipment is installed was totally wet, not sure what the technician was doing but it was a mess. At this point I only wanted him to leave after being in my house for more than 8 hours.
The next day I received I call from Cool Heat lady telling me that the technician has "confirmed" that my thermostat is broken (yes, the technician that didn't have a clue on how to turn on the AC on my thermostat) and they can replace my thermostat with an $800 one but because I am such a nice client they will install it for half the price.
Wrote to the owner Ray the same friday June 7th, explaining the situation, Ray responded via Facebook messenger the next monday June 10th telling me that he was going to look into this ASAP.
Long story short, still waiting for the original piece, my AC still not working, and what is most important, still waiting from an explanation from Ray on this matter.
And just in case the story doesn't end here, I still have more to tell on my interaction with Cool and Heat.
