Do not shop at this location

Purchased a commercial vinyl plank from south location to do three floors in our home, installation did not happen in time frame, previous water damage concerns were covered without photos or being addressed as previously brought up and spoken about prior to installation. Product is hardly a commercial grade holding dirt, scratching easily and requiring harsh chemicals to clean. Owner John does not respond to email or phone calls and salesman Ryan is horrible will do anything to get the sale but job was incorrectly quoted and a carpenter was needed to come in to do repairs and finishing after the fact. Dont put your home or family through this nightmare

Product great; administration problematic

Had new carpets installed most of upper story, living room and stairs. This was through the Costco affiliate program. The product is lovely and the installer was very good. However, we had significant problems with the billing end of things at the north store in Calgary. After we received a quote, it kept changing. If I asked about an item, they would send me a new quote, and something unrelated would have changed. We ended up with several different quotes. We finally signed, the work got done (as I said, that part was great). 3 months later another charge showed up on my credit card. I actually thought it must be fraudulent, but as it turns out, another charge was added at the end when I signed the "job done" paperwork. I didn't notice and it wasn't discussed with me. So if you use them, be very careful with your paperwork.

Carpet installation

We just had new carpet installed by West Valley. We had a very tight time line,. Jeff prepared a quote very quickly, identifying what selections were in stock, and telling us that one of his top installers had a cancellation a few days out and could fit us in. Ejder and crew showed up as promised and worked non-stop to finish the job in one long day! 1500 sq. ft. on two floors plus two sets of stairs, including removal of the old carpet and the new installation. The installers were friendly and considerate, and took very good care of our home as they moved material and equipment in and out, and cleaned up well when the job was done. The workmanship is excellent, and Ejder took extra care to minimize seams. The new carpet looks fantastic. Many thanks to Jeff, Ejder and team for an excellent job

Please Do Not Purchase From WestValley Flooring

My husband and I purchased some carpeting and flooring from West Valley flooring in Calgary, Alberta Canada in 2019 and again in 2021. We have had ongoing problems with the most recent purchase. We purchased carpeting to match the carpet we purchased in 2019 in the basement for our upper floors and stairs. The installation date was scheduled for Nov. 16, 2021. We were trying to renovate the entire upper floor in time for Christmas including painting, new baseboards, trims and doors. On Nov. 16th, Ryan contacted my husband to say that after inspecting the carpet, it was not to spec and looked like the waffle pattern had been put on crooked. He offered to install it anyway but said we may not be happy with the result. Obviously we didn't want a deficient product installed, so we told him to re order the product. Ryan said we would likely get it done on the first week of December, which was bad enough considering the time crunch, but later that week he let us know the carpet had to be manufactured still and then shipped, so we would not get it installed until Dec. 21. We were very upset about this, obviously this put us in a huge bind and we were living in shambles after painting, removing all the baseboards, pulling up carpet to paint railings and we moved most of the furniture to our main floor to help out the installers and now we would have to live like that for weeks. We told them we expected compensation for this inconvenience, Ryan said it was not West Valley's fault or problem and the owner Jon sent me a lovely email explaining that inconvenience is "a part of life" and that he had to live with it (he even gave me examples) and so should I. We pushed them to get compensation from the manufacturer and they got us a $300 credit on our invoice, which they thought we should be grateful for (the invoice was over $10,000). This was in no way satisfactory to us but West Valley was unwilling to pursue the claim further.

We also purchased the same carpet for our basement in 2019, and we are now having problems with the carpet looking frayed and worn on the stairs. When we purchased the carpet from Luis at West Valley flooring, I specifically asked to buy a carpet that would not look worn after only a few years, especially in high traffic areas, I mentioned the "fuzzy" look that carpets can get after a while. Luis told me that most manufacturers will not warranty stairs but that Mohawk would if we purchased the recommended pad. We now have the fuzzy look on some of our stairs and we wanted West Valley to take a look at it but they said it is not covered, they specified only "abrasive wear" was covered and not "texture retention". This was not specified to us when we purchased the product and now we are stuck with a "premium" product that looks worn after 24 months, which is completely unacceptable. Luis is no longer with West Valley flooring and the current sales team is unwilling to uphold what their previous employee led us to believe. We believe these are dishonest sales tactics and will no longer be dealing with this company moving forward for any new products but we have no choice but to deal with them on our existing product. We have cleaned the carpets with a professional cleaner twice to keep up our warranty and we chose Mohawk specifically because we were told "they stand behind their products''. We have had nothing but frustrations with your company and West Valley and I am prepared to write a very detailed review of our experiences for consumer reports as well as all dealers who sell your product in Calgary. We purchased these products in good faith and we expected to be treated as valued customers in return. Do not purchase from West Valley, and please don't buy Mohawk products, they are not the premium product you think you're getting and their warranty isn't worth the paper it's printed on. I added a photo of the wear and tear on the stairs after 24 months compared to the new product below

Excellent except for stiarnoses

These guys did an excellent job or replacing 80% of my floors with vinyl planks. After 6 months my stair nose tiles started to break down. The design is pretty poor on this product (Pergo). At the end I had to buy new pieces myself and pay for them to be installed as apparently Pergo was apparently6 not believing that their product could be defective.

I like WVF, not pleased with Pergo!

Carpet replacement

We just had our carpet replaced on upper floor and stairs. Very happy with Frank's assistance and Briana's recommendation of the carpet from Simons Valley location. At least my wife is very happy...happy wife...happy life :-) Price is very competitive. I was worry about the potential damages during installation. At the end, I am happily to say there isn't any. Mo and his team did a great job of installation.

Carpet Re-Stretch

We had carpet, that over the years, had stretched a little in two places. I phoned West Valley and they said they could come and look at it the next day after 2pm. Frank called at 1:50pm and said he would be here in 30 mins. He not only looked at the problem but fixed it immediately. There was some heavy furniture that needed moving and Frank did that by himself as I was unable to help.
The carpet looks great and Frank did some extra things to make it look even better after the stretching. He obviously knows carpet inside out, is very good at what he does, and is also very personable. A pleasure to deal with, a very good price, and I wouldn't hesitate to use him again or recommend him to anyone. Thanks Frank.

Whole home flooring replacement

We found Marvin from West Valley to be good to work with, knowledgeable and well informed. He is somewhat difficult to get a hold of.

We had an insurance replacement of our main floor and chose to upgrade to a hardwood engineered product. the flooring was done in a professional manner and we are extremely pleased with the floor and the installation.

On the second story, we replaced the existing carpet with new carpet. We are very pleased with the product, and very pleased with the installation.

Our only complaint is that the installers did not clean up after themselves. They left piles of carpet fibre all over the floor, replaced large furniture over the carpet fibres without cleaning where the furniture was and left hand prints and smudges on the doors that they removed and replaced. There were also numerous staples and nails left on the carpet.

We would certainly recommend the company, but also recommend that the cleanup be put in writing.
