Michael was very responsive, knowledgeable,accommodating and efficient from the first contact through to the completion of the job. The crew was skilled and professional and did a perfect cleanup afterward. I highly recommend this company.

We had used this company previously for a roof repair and we were very impressed with Michael and his service at that time. So when we noticed water dripping into the interior of our home we called Quality First Roofing again. They were very prompt in returning our phone call and within 6 hours Michael came and was able to repair the wind damage which had occurred in a different section of our roof. He checked the entire roof and showed us pictures of the roof before and after his work was completed. We were just as impressed this time as we were almost two years ago.

Michael and Tatyana did a great job. Quote was reasonable and saved me $1500 by not having to disconnect the roof top a/c unit. Clean up was spotless and crew did a great job. I own a commercial building in Quebec with 100+K square feet of flat roof and would definitely use Quality First for work there.

Michael was very professional and provided insights regarding the roof construct and requirements for our home. The Quality First Roofing team worked very hard and cleaned our property and surrounding areas daily.
We are very pleased with our roof and agree that the company does indeed put quality first.

Quality First Roofing came highly recommended when I needed a new roof for both the flat and peaked sections. I wanted a "white" or cool roof, and needed more insulation and a skylight replacement. Michael recommended high quality Malarkey shingles, and Soprema products for the flat section, for a roof that will likely last decades.
The final price may look high, but this takes into account the quality of the materials, the custom skylight replacement, and the extra insulation needed.

The crew showed up early and worked hard until dark every day, until the job was finished, and Michael provided pictures of both the process and "after" shots, showing some problems left from a previous roofing job.

Michael was always available to answer email questions, and when I had a question, I generally found that it had already been anticipated, and would he would check in if something unexpected came up.

The entire job went very smoothly.

The house is already snugger, and I hope the lighter colour will help keep things cooler in the summers to come.

I definitely recommend Quality First Roofing, and will recommend it to anyone I know needing a new roof.

It shows how much they care about their workmanship and reputation. They came back and took care of the small details, so now I can recommend them both for their work, and their after sales service! 10 stars!

- Did a fantastic job, in the time frame promised
- The crew arrived exactly when agreed (and I mean, EXACTLY) and got work right away
- Kept the worksite clear, with a minimum of noise
- Took care to protect my windows, my neighbors windows and the surface of my desk
- At one point they had to stop work due to rain, but communicated in advance and tried their best to work within the weather.
- Price was significantly lower than other quotes.

<< What they could have done better >>
- I have had pieces of roof material and insulation come out the end of my downspout since the work, so it seems the eavestrough spout was not blocked properly. I have no idea now if there are blockages, which makes me worry about ice over winter, especially because I have a very long drain. They came back after completing the job to blow out the drain just to be safe.
- The visible trim they installed at the edge wasn't as nice as it was before. It's (presumably!) waterproof etc., but the quality was different to what what my siding contractor had installed just a few months earlier. Apparently the roof height dropped when replaced, so that lines weren't quite the same.

Mike and his crew did an amazing job on the shingles and flat roof. There was some challenging areas and they did with no problems. The metal work also turned out great.
His crew definitely takes pride in there work and do not rush it just to finish and go home.
They showed respect for house and property and cleaned up perfectly when job was finished.
I'm sure I could have went with cheaper company but no way get quality materials and top notch work.

We moved to a new home and it was must to make a new roof. But we wanted to be sure that it be done properly.
So me and my family asked this company to help us. We had a meeting before making the roof and decided of the type that we want and color. Everything was done perfectly and in time.

I selected Quality First Roofing through Homestars in July 2020 after doing some research. The person doing the estimate was very thorough, explaining the work in detail and courteous. Considering the size of the roof(I live in a backsplit with 2 roof areas), the cost seemed reasonable. A neighbour in a similar sized house paid $15,000 a couple of years ago! The workers arrived promptly at the time specified and appeared to have done a first class job. They also made a couple of amendments at no extra cost to improve the ventilation and added side flashing. I was up the next day and had a look at things. The other much appreciated items was after the work was completed, they went around and cleaned up the area to such an extent that, aside from the new roof, you wouldn't know they had been there. Based on my experience, anyone choosing Quality First Roofing will not have cause for disappointment.

For years I have had an issue with water leaking from a flat roof balcony right above the main entrance to my home. When Michael started the work to waterproof the flat roof, he informed me that the entire balcony was so severely damaged that an entire new structure would have to be built. Michael was extremely patient in taking the time to explain and show me the extent of the damage. After agreeing to proceed, Michael and Igor worked tirelessly for 12+ hours to build a complete new balcony and waterproof it. He juggled some other jobs that he had lined up and managed to complete all the work at my house in a single day. His workmanship is top quality and a highly recommend Quality First Roofing to anyone who is looking to have roofing work done on their home.
