Alberta Roofing No Longer In Business

Delays aside, the quality of the work was good. That being said, the work was carried out by a contractor and not one of their employees as we were told. I'm happy that a contractor did the work given how their company operates. Delay after delay.

Try phoning them once they have some of your money, and it's a song and dance if you're lucky. It was impossible to get a hold of the owner, or anyone who could be of use. Hector was by far the least useful. Always telling you that someone would get back, and you'd wait weeks and never hear the phone ring.

Now that the job is done, there is apparently a 10 year workmanship warranty. Same game again, trying to get a hold of someone to get the warranty information. Nothing wrong with the roof or the materials, but the communication of this company is deplorable.

Find a company who is highly rated. Even if you pay more for it, I assure you the extra money is worth every cent not to have to deal with this nightmare of a "company."

DO NOT USE HIM IN ANY CIRCUMSTANCES !! This company is nothing but some one who will take your money and run. The quality of work is awful and you will not be able to get ahold of him for ANY repairs or service. Find another company to do your roof.

STAY AWAY FROM THIS COMPANY!!! James came out to my home, he is a great sales man and talker. He talked me into getting my roof done in November,2012 one of the coldest days of the year but he said it would be ok - NOT! Not only was it do be done in a couple of days we are still working on it 9 months later. We have had an independent roofing inspector to come out and look at the roof job and in his 30 years of doing his job he has NEVER SEEN SUCH A BAD JOB done on a roof. We will have to reroof the whole thing again. James, Hector, Sandie and Brandon, you name it, they will never get back to you, they promise they will come and do the work and NO SHOW but they want their money NOW. DO NOT USE!!! HE changes names - Designer Home Improvements and Amcor many more.

James, Hector, Sandy, Anton...if they have those names AVOID!!! These people have several business names, we have come to discover. We had a terrible experience with this company, and hope to save someone the agony and stress they caused us in getting a simple roof done. The salesman, Anton, with his professionalism and sample boards will come to your house and promise you all kinds of things that will not happen. Such as paying with creditcard, getting the "best roofer" they have on staff to do the project, timeline of less than a week, etc. Then Sandy will convince you to accept product delivery ASAP because the warehouse may run out of your color. JAMES will deliver 1/4 of the product necessary to do the job, therefore locking you into the contract as signed. The"deposit" cheque of HALF the total amount (which was supposed to be 33%) will be cashed by JAMES immediately at the bank (20 minutes), that is when you get to wait. AND wait and wait, if you try calling Hector, he will promise to call you back. 22 times. Then he will promise several dates which will come and go. For us, 2.5 months later, I had to get nasty and insist it was done before we went on holidays. They finally sent a crew (not the original, or the second or third crew, I think it was the fourth promised) The crew finished the job and was told by JAMES they couldn't leave until he arrived to pick up the trailer. This was not his intention at all. He threatened us on our own property to put a lean on our house and go to court if we didn't pay immediately, using the roofing crew as an excuse to collect. If we didn't pay, they wouldn't get paid, and they deserved to get paid. He went from 0-60 when it came to the money. Cool to threatening FAST!! We have since heard many horrible things about this company, including this type of thing and changing business names and running with deposit money. STAY AWAY from these people. You may have a worse experience than we did.
