Denis responded quickly with a quote which was comprehensive and competitive. The company started the project on time and completed work as outlined in quote. Employees on site were hard working and cleaned up prior to leaving every night. Denis responded very quickly when I had any questions.

I hired Strong Basements to complete the underpinning of my basement. I needed extra height for a rec room for my expanding family. We live in a house made in 1908 and we expected there to be some complications. Denis met each issue with affordable options and reasonable solutions. Did everything go perfectly? No. Would I hire Denis again for the same job? Yes. I’m quite pleased with how everything worked out and there’s something to be said about being able to trust a contractor you work with.

Working with Denis and his team was the best decision I have made. He is always responsive and very professional. Scope and phases were clearly described and neatly executed. All members of his team that worked in our property were respectful, focussed and very efficient. Our underpinning project was completed way before it was scheduled, and the impact in our daily routine was minimal, despite the fact that we were living in the house during the works. Dennis was absolutely great as were the guys who did the work. His quote was much lower than the other 2 I received and yet his work was great. While digging out the basement, Dennis found a problem with a cracked pipe. He quoted me a very reasonable amount for fixing it, and though the problem turned to be much larger than we first imagined, he honoured his quote. He also helped me fill out paperwork to possible get money back from the city. He explained everything and the work he produced was great. He took away all the sand and the worksite was always cleaned up every eking.

We got the basement waterproofing job done for our house by Strong Basements last fall, 2014. Denis has done an excellent problems detection work with all those investigation tools. He also provided me with leaky basement problem solutions and explained all the details of waterproofing processes as well as answered all my questions. The basement waterproofing has been done safe and sound. Strong Basements provided me with completed Toronto Flooding Protection Subsidy application ready to mail, I just had to fill up the the building owner’s information. And I recently got the rebate :). Thank you Denis and Strong Basements for all your efforts! Well done...

Dennis and his crew did our basement underpinning in late 2014, and they were very professional throughout the entire process, from quote to completion.

Dennis himself explained the whole process very thoroughly before we signed the contract. His crew was always prompt, hardworking, and friendly, and left the job site neat at the end of every day. They even decorated it - at Christmas, Dennis pointed out that the orange safety fence didn't look very festive, so he asked if he could put some lights on it for us! Such a thoughtful touch.

Dennis adapted to small changes we requested during the process without changing the quoted price (drain here instead of there sort of things), and did everything he could to be detail-oriented and conscientous about planning ahead for the final finished basement. He was happy to answer any questions we had, and was even happy to explain details to my dad over the phone.

When the job was completed, Dennis was prompt to clean up his equipment and left everything neat and ready for the next stage. He even came back several weeks later when we discovered a small spot where the concrete had been messed up while it was drying - he returned and re-filled the dint that had been left by a sagging hose (again, no extra charge).

Our neighbours in the other half of our semi-detached are planning to underpin their basement soon too, and we are definitely recommending Strong Basements to them. I guess that's a pretty confident recommendation, then!
