Repairs were needed due to pest damage - racoons and squirrels. It was a smallish job but somewhat urgent for me. They managed to fit it into a busy schedule. Very pleased with the solution .. nothing getting in attic now unless they come through the walls! Well done -- custom aluminum coverings made on site. Quick, tidy, friendly .. and safely in these Covid days!

Kovar did an excellent job replacing the almost 50 year old siding, soffits, fascia, gutters and downspouts on our house. Alex and Kevin, who did the work, are highly skilled craftsmen who know their business inside-out. And they are very pleasant individuals who took pains to make everything just so, to clean up after every day, and to explain what they were doing.

We are extremely satisfied with Kovar Contracting and highly recommend the company. We will go to them again, if we have another reno job of the sort they do.

Very happy so far. When selecting the contractor, Kovar Roofing had a good price and had excellent references, they were also very helpful in providing addresses to view the shingle choices we were considering.

They started work exactly when originally scheduled and despite some minor weather problems completed the work on time. Site clean up was good.

Time will tell how the work holds up, but from my (albeit inexpert) inspection it looks to to be good quality.

Jason and his team are competent, professional (in both attitude and workmanship) and all around honest good guys. Their process was transparent (quoting, invoicing) and felt like good value for the dollar. I would recommend.

Severe winds had damaged my siding. It required putting it back in place and putting a small screw to prevent it from opening up again.
Also Brian found another partial separation on the other side of the house which he also fixed.
After my phone call to KOVAR Brian arrived within 45 minutes.

They were fast. They did an excellent job. I was totally satisfied. The gutter guards they used are a type which has a good reputation.

They gave me a clear estimate before starting. The workers were knowledgeable professionals who followed COVID protocols and were very pleasant to deal with. The quality and time to completion of the work was excellent.

Scott from Kovar Contracting came in to top up the insulation in the attic of our older rental building, and installed some baffles to help with airflow. He and his colleague were professional and knew their stuff, and they worked quickly and efficiently. He also identified a possible issue (partially boarded-up soffits) along with a strategy to monitor and ensure that it doesn't cause problems. Thanks again for helping us get this sorted out!

I found this company based on high reviews on HomeStars, and it worked out well. There were a lot of complicating details associated with the roof replacement, and some additional work that had to be done (installing proper vent covers and dealing with the AC mounted on the mansard). Jason was very accommodating to my requests and schedule, and he also organized and coordinated the additional work for this project, which was much appreciated. He responded to my questions and concerns, unlike some of the previous contractors from whom I got quotes. The team that did the work were very nice guys who also took the time to answer my questions about various aspects of the job and how the roof system worked. Although some shingles are not flat just yet, they explained that it will take about a year (and hot weather) for the shingles to settle and for the roof to have a uniform look. Last but not least, I am very happy with their 50 year non-prorated warranty. Will definitely consider Kovar Contracting for future home renovation projects!
