Jason was recommended by an HVAC Contractor who replaced the furnace. Price was no more than a roofer who wrote a number on a piece of letterhead and left it in the mailbox. Quote was very explicit as to what was to be done, so there was no guessing. Job was done on time, looks great and the cleanup done was amazing. While doing the roof the crew noticed that the flashing around the chimney needed replacing (not part of the roof job), and returned a few days later to replace the flashing at a very reasonable price. Jason is a very 'down to earth' yet very professional contractor. I would recommend Kovar Contracting to anyone needing roof work done.

I found Jason through the Better Business Bureau. His last name sounded familiar and sure enough, his grandparents were neighbours and friends of my parents. I was happy to have a connection and was also very pleased with Jason's ability to communicate by e-mail and also provide two references I requested. I also asked him to add to his invoice his opinion about the longevity of the adjoining sloped roof and he did. This will come in handy to show any future property buyers. We are very pleased with Kovar Contracting. They recommended and very professionally installed appropriate shingles and metal valleys on our complicated mansard roof with seven projecting windows and a unique 18’ projecting front entrance. Furthermore, the metal valleys were installed in such a way as to avoid future rot issues on the window/door facings (they are painted wood -- we did not want to use vinyl). If the shingles and metal valleys had not been installed with precision, and if the facing boards on the windows and at the front entrance had not also been cut with precision, all would be very noticeable in a negative sense. Due to the diligence of the Kovar team, we are delighted with the end result and highly recommend the company to those wanting quality work
