I wholeheartedly recommend Harbord Valley.

I commissioned Josh and his team to craft a custom playhouse in my backyard for my daughters. It wasn't an easy job because the work was finicky and the structure was based on my amateur drawings.

Regardless of these challenges, Josh put his heart into the project and brought it to life in a timely, workmanlike and artful manner.

Josh didn't cut any corners, and created a structure that is built to last. The quality of the construction is impressive.

I also appreciated his manner: he communicated well about costs and timelines, and was reliable in terms of scheduling.

All in all, good guy, great work! 10 out of 10.

We really liked Josh's work & professionalism from the first time we used him to build our fence so we asked him back to do a cedar deck in our backyard. His craftsmanship and personal touches really make the final deck a piece of art. His quote was very competitive and there were no surprises. Best part was that he was so quick! We are really looking forward to our first BBQ to show off the new digs. Thanks again, Josh!

I have a very large, beautiful home, but was never happy with the way the backyard looked. I then had to deal with tenants that trashed the house both inside and outside. I converted the house back to a single family dwelling.

The house had a patio, but the rest of it was now- in retrospect- hideous. I decided that I wanted to fix it up, both for myself and to increase the value of the house should I ever decide to sell it. Despite it being a very awkward space to work with, Josh had designed it s that it made sense, with areas for flower beds and areas for small trees. He did a fantastic job, and impressed me with both his work ethic (despite it being the hottest day of last summer) and his in-depth knowledge of plants and trees (which was unexpected).

I thoroughly recommend Harbord Valley for any of the work that they do, because I trust very much in Josh's ability to put out work of the highest caliber.

We had 2 projects done by Joshua. The price was very reasonable on both projects. He completed them both within the budget and on time plus he was so clean. We are very happy with his work

Harbord Valley replaced the front yard grass with interlock. Josh suggested a better option than the one I had in mind. The cost was very reasonable and it turned out better than I had ever imagined. It's been a few years and the blocks still look as good as the day they were laid. Highly recommend.

We needed a fence in our backyard to give us some privacy and ended up calling Harbord Valley. Josh suggested we do cedar because its environmentally friendly (pressure treated wood leaches chemicals into the ground) and we were concerned about our vegetable garden becoming contaminated by the PT wood. We also really enjoyed the smell of the fence for the first couple of years, but unfortunately that goes away with age. The fence is still holding up well after 3 yrs and lots of snow piled up against it.

The only regret we have is NOT fully listening to Josh on the fence design. He suggested a modern horizontal look but we played it safe with a more conservative style. Now after seeing his other cool fence designs, I wish we had gone with one of his interesting 'outside of the box' design ideas.

Overall, Harbord Valley was very reasonable in price and were also super quick once the job started. Josh was very knowledgeable and a friendly guy as well. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend their work to any of my friends or family.
