Stairs, flooring (hardwood/laminate)

We hired Jerry (Jarek) to replace our carpeted staircase with a new wooden one, install a new hardwood flooring in the second floor hallway, as well as to replace the laminate basement floor that had water damage. Jerry offered his handywork by replacing a good portion of the ceiling in the basement that was also damaged. The company's store located in Mississauga had all the necessary supplies: we were able to match our existing railing and posts with the new hardwood; and found an impossible-to-find laminate flooring that matched the existing one and "saved the day" after much unsuccessful search across the GTA. Jerry has been thorough, quick, resourceful and extremely accommodating every step of the process. The quote was fair and clear, and did not contain any hidden charges; and the timeline of the project was observed impeccably. Jerry's crew was well-equipped, well-organized, polite and respectful to the owners; they worked efficiently in a non-stop mode, which contributed to such quick execution of our multi-faceted project: all the above tasks were completed in exactly four business days, Mon-Thur. The installation of all components of the project and the craftmanship, attention to the detail such as finishing touches and mouldings, and an overall professionalism have made the final product an impressive subject of admiration and pride. Jerry personally supervised all the work being done. Undoubtedly, we intend to engage him and his company Stairs4u in our future projects. This particular project was one of the very rare occasions when a renovation flowed with ease, and was based on a great communication level and mutual understanding.
