TLG was great to deal with. From quotation through to completion, it was an enjoyable and stress free experience (unlike many contractors I have dealt with over the years!). Lee started when he said he would, his design was practical and the finished article looks fantastic. The crew were very pleasant and the site was always left tidy. Not once was there any issue with the scope of the work - I.e. Not once did TLG ask for more money for anything at all. They basically gave us a great design, turned up when they said they would, were very easy to work with and delivered a very attractive robust end product. I couldn't be happier that we chose TLG and would not hesitate to recommend them.

We needed a full clean in our backyard and TLG hooked it up. They installed a new slick horizontal fence on our lot line and from there worked their magic. A mix of interlock and soft surfaces were installed along with tasteful feature lighting to enjoy our new oasis day and night. We are very satisfied with the work and will be back for more!

We wanted to make very (!) large-scale changes to our front, side, and back yard. This was our first major ($50k) renovation, so we wanted to be careful and thorough. We sought contractors/designers by touring various neighborhoods around Toronto (particularly in the Beaches) and asking people with nice yards who they used. We also contacted a number of companies we found online. After accumulating opinions, quotes, and designs, we decided to go with Lee’s TLG Contracting.

TLG Contracting was fantastic, and in my mind, three elements made them stand out among people we have worked with in the past (for medium/small jobs).

1. Professionalism: The project was finished in a timely manner, consistent with estimates, and with no breaks in work. The crew was polite, clean/careful, worked well with the neighbors, was responsive to our requests, and offered input that improved the look and function of the space. Lee was pretty much available 24/7.

2. Quality: The design and materials “fit” with our house/neighborhood and exceeded expectations. For many design elements, we did not know specifically what we wanted, but Lee’s team managed to build something that looked better than we visualized. Their attention to detail in the design/build was impressive. They also took the initiative to repair parts of the house (air conditioner etc).

3. Cost: TLG contracting was reasonable in cost. Most of the contractors we contacted quoted us for higher amounts AND had simpler (i.e. cheaper) designs. Further, TLG Contracting designed our favorite house in the neighborhood (both our neighbors also complimented the house’s look). Thus, our decision to go with this company was simple.

In summary, it was a great experience, and we would use them again. We’ve also mentioned to Lee that we would be happy to recommend his work in person/on the phone.

Lee and his team did great work. They were prompt and efficient. Built a fence, wooden deck, stone walkway and patio area in my backyard. They also did some gardening/landscaping. In the front they built a stone walkway, steps and repaired my patio. I found them to be very professional and lee was very responses to our needs and requests. I highly recommend them.

We wanted to replace our front retaining wall, steps and path to the house. Anything would have looked better than what we had, but Lee and his team quickly created a beautiful new wall with space for our bins. His quote was the most detailed and when he had time for the work just before our vacation, he was flexible with the remainder of payment until we were able to come home and check out the work. On top of all of that, he and his team took the dirt from excavating part of the front yard to level our backyard. We were concerned that we'd have to go through the winter with an unstable retaining wall, but we were fortunate to work with Lee and be ready for any snow!

We are completely satisfied, the job was done quickly and they were very clean and efficient throughout the project. Lee had great input and shared creatively with us. He really brought our vision to life. Lee ensured we had no issues during or after the job was complete. Their prices were fair and reasonable. I will definitely call them for future work.

Lee and his group were great. Lee was in constant communication with me and provided timely updates. In the planning stages, he understood what we wanted and provided helpful suggestions when we needed it. The work was also very reasonably priced as we looked at other companies which we were quoted much higher for similar work. I am pleased with the work and would recommend Lee's group to a friend.

Lee was referred to me by a landscaping supplier to build two retaining walls totaling approx. 27 metres in length. One had several 90 degree corners. The team was courteous and fast. Part of the wall location was very tight and obstructed by a carport. They had no trouble working around it and didn't encroach on the neighbour's property during construction. They said the job would take 3 days. They were done in 2.5 (and they were working in 30+ degree weather). Others had quoted a week. Their price was right. Other quotes were higher. One was even double. The walls look great. I should've done this years ago. I'm already planning another project for next year and plan to give Lee Group a call.

I cannot communicate strongly enough how impressed we were with the work that Lee and his team did for us. They showed up when they had scheduled to be here, communicated frequently and clearly with us, cleaned up after each day, and were extremely professional. The quality of their work was exceptional. They recommended improvements for our design which made it much better than we imagined, used quality materials and the workmanship was exceptional. I will hire them again, without hesitation.

We hired 'The Lee Group' to design and build a retaining wall, driveway, carport, in-ground lighting system and drainage system. Lee offered suggestions and advice to not only create the look we wanted but the functional nature of our needs had to be met as well. We are very satisfied with the look and workmanship; the crew worked steady and completed our project within our timelines. We will continue to recommend The Lee Group.
