Tankless water heater

I had a tankless water heater installed 2017 . 7 years later, no hot water. Apparently they should have been doing a maintenance since it was a rental. NO ONE EVER contacted me. Also my monthly charge increased from $29.95 to $36.81 plus taxes. What's the point of a contract if the monthly rate goes up. Noone can really explain why. My mortgage does not go up when rates go up with a contract. A 10 YEAR Contract is not a 10 year contract when they can make changes.

I called again today for an explanation on why my rental contract went up. Terms and conditions that you need a magnifying glasss to read said 3.5% increase per year. Just because the sales rep misled me and told me 120 equal payments is no proof for them. Anything to make a sale. Will I ever deal with them again, not on your life. He had a responsibility to review the contract with me or initial the area that states the jncrease, not just sign here. Extremely upset that I have had no service contact with them but have paid. Maintenance is NOT part of the contract, just if it is not working..

Sandpiper-Awful, Stressful and Horrible

One fine day(in winters), out hot water and heat stopped working. Sandpiper resolved that issue after 15 days, that too after rigorous follow-ups and various visits by different technicians.
After few days, that problem occurred again and we told Sandpiper to resolve that. They told there is a part replacement, and part will come in 3 days. After 5 days, I was told everyday that technician will visit today.
After getting the same response and no visit from technician, after 7 days, i get a call that technician will visit with a a different part taking another week. All these days, (15-20 days) there was no heat or hot water. I was not able to use dishwasher, washing machine and dryer. I was washing dishes with cold water and we were not able to take even bath showers.

This experience is horrible. Still, I have no heat and hot water in my house.

We have been calling Sandpiper daily for the updates

No supply of hot water and heat from one week

I am really frustrated now.
From past one week from Thursday evening,there is no hot water and heat for the unit 20, 1720 Simcoe st.
Till 2nd Jan parts were not available and now when parts are available technician not available.
I called the customer care service almost 30 times from past 3 days not getting proper answer. customer care saying dispatch team or technician will contact me.
Dispatch team or technician no one giving call back.
Technician supposed to come today between 9pm - 1pm
no response from the technician I already called 10/15 times today. Now my blood pressure getting high, feeling restless.
There are 6 people in the house suffering with this situation.

Charge you even if you cancel

I cancelled their service in July and had the hot water tank removed. They continue to bill me each month despite my emails to stop/investigate. They phone me to try and collect but phone number appears as an unlisted number (which you can not return a call to). I phone back to the number left for me but always get an answering machine and nobody returns my calls except an automated machine which asks me to press 8 to speak to an agent. When I press 8 to speak to customer service the line disconnects. Now into November, terrible service continues.

Great customer service.

Replaced older water tank quickly and efficiently. Customer service (Kiki) was very helpful when I was updating information and was personable and easy to understand. Nice NOT to be put on hold very long. Great experience.

AC unit not working for over a month

Calling customer service for over a month because AC unit not working. Keep getting the response that Technician will be there today but still waiting untill today. Very poor service and I want to replace this company.

Unconscionable Representation

Sandpiper took advantage of my cousin with disabilities. Sold him something he did not want. and when he told them to get it out of his house they refused to do so. His family only learned of this in Feb of 2023.
My cousin cannot read or write. Sandpiper Sales people coached him through a Third Party Verification call. Sold him a Carbon Filter that he did not want. Locked him into a 10 year lease. Placed a lien/ security interest on his family home for almost 11,000.00 for the next twenty years.
I have sent Power of Attorney papers to them along with a note from his family Dr outlining his disabilities and stating that he did not have the capacity to enter into this agreement. Now they are ignoring my calls and emails.

They will never get back to you if you have a concern!!!! Run Run Run as fast as you can from this company!!!

Water heater replacement

2nd water heater from this company to leak.

Lease for $55/ month

Called for 90 minutes on a Friday, starting at 5 pm. On hold.

Got through to a call centre at 7:30 pm. Was told the company would call back first thing Saturday.

Company didn't call back. I had to call. Was told a service tech would come by between noon and 5 pm Saturday.

Tech showed up at 5:15 p.m. Spent 10 minutes on the phone. Tried to upsell to a more expensive heater. Said the company would call back in 2-3 hours to set a time to replace the water heater on Sunday.

A third party contractor called Sunday morning trying to upsell the water heater plus a furnace and air conditioner. The service tech had provided make and model of the furnace and A/C to the contractor.

Call centre called late Sunday morning to say the company contracted to install water heaters doesn't work on weekends.

Will be looking to cancel my contract with this company Monday morning.

Avoid at all costs.
