Windows By Installer

The whole experience was, in a word, fantastic. I emailed Dave first and he responded right away. We set up an appt. to have him come to the house for an estimate. He did a great job asking me what was most important to me and helping me figure out the right products to get the look I wanted. I checked around and the estimate he gave me was very fair. I appreciated his frank and friendly manner and trusted his taste completely after I saw how his recommendations looked in the showroom, so we hired By Installer. It took a while for the windows to come in since they had to be made to spec., but Dave was very responsive to my emails. On the day we set for the installation, Dave, Alex, and the team (five men total) showed up exactly on time at 8:00 a.m.. While I hung out in the basement with the cats, these guys did an amazing job. They had all 12 windows in by 1:30 in the afternoon. This included not only basic installation, but light painting around the frame, insulating the gaps, caulking, cleaning the windows until they sparkled, removing and disposing of the old windows, screens and storms, moving furniture and replacing it, and vacuuming the place to a condition far better than it looked when they arrived. They were friendly, courteous, thorough, and unbelievably fast. I had just watched my neighbor across the street have window installed over the course of a week, and I had mine in five and a half hours. The quality of the windows is amazing. Not only do I notice the distinct lack of drafts, but the house is much quieter as well. The fact that I can now clean my windows inside and out on the second floor is amazing to me. I should have done this years ago.
Near the beginning of the job my downstairs neighbors discovered a tear in their screen door and were understandably upset. Dave and Steve felt pretty certain the screen tear was not their doing, but they immediately promised to make it right. Sure enough, on the following Monday, both Dave AND Alex came themselves rather than send an assistant and together they made sure that the screen was repaired to the satisfaction of my neighbor. I was extremely grateful for their meticulous and thorough professionalism, not only in installing the windows I was paying them to put in, but in making sure my neighbors were happy and that I wasn't put in a difficult positon. That's a class act! I would not hesitate to recommend them or to call them again for future work. I can't imagine a better overall experience. And I couldn't be happier with the quality of the windows and the installation.

Dave and his team are true professionals and nice guys too. We had a pretty big job for them and they got it done in just two days with minimal disruption to our home. They clearly take pride in the quality of their work, even taking extra steps to thoroughly clean up when the job was complete. Their prices were great compared to other vendors and it was great to take on a big project like this feeling like I was treated fairly on price. My only complaint is that it took them a while to call back when I had questions, but I have nothing negative beyond that to say!

Alex was very fair in pricing and was very responsive in coming to the house to provide an estimate. We were looking to take advantage of the federal tax credit and had just recently bought the house so we needed to move quickly. Only one day later, he turned around a very fair quote and was very flexible in scheduling the installation around our busy schedule. My wife and I were both home the day of the installation and saw these guys in action. Alex and Dave had two other assistants on the job that day. One young assistant handled all the carpentry work on the 3rd floor windows that required new interior trim. He did an amazing job. The team showed up about 15 minutes early - around 7:30 in the morning and had the entire job completed - all debris removed, tools put away, house back in order - by 2pm. I couldn't believe the efficiency of these guys. They clearly know what needs to get done and work well as a team. I didn't feel at all that they were rushing through the job - as they were being particular with every window and making sure the windows were properly insulated before they installed the new windows and made sure all the windows were level. These guys are just really efficient, very professional and friendly. They even vacuumed the carpet on the stairs. The windows look amazing and the whole house looks and feels like a brand new house. I can't believe the new look of the house from the curb as well. We couldn't be happier with the service and the quality of their work. We would definitely highly recommend them to all our friends and neighbors.

We found WBI on Homestars and compared them with a number of vendors for price and product. David was very responsive in coming out to quote and answered all of our many questions about both the process and product. The windows were received in the stated time frame. On the day of installation the crew were here at 8 am and they had completed the installation of the 12 windows by 2 pm which included a 5 window bay. In addition they insulated the old weight boxes in the bay window and completed some extra caulking of gaps around the old frames at our request and at no additional cost. Clean up was excellent - you would never have know they had been in. We are extremely pleased with how easy WBI made this whole process and we would not hesitate to recommend them.

They were late getting started, but after that everything went beautifully. Windows by installer were there when they said they would be, were very professional and friendly and completed the work within the time frame they estimated. When there were two minor details that we were not satisfied with, they were quite responsive and corrected them quickly without any objection.
Oleg and team were very easy to work with. They were responsive and professional from the estimate, to the measure, to the actual installation. The installation was quick and easy. They showed up on time, touched up the exterior paint on the window casings, cleaned up well, and put the furniture back in place. They used vinyl windows, which I'm very happy with. Overall, I'm very happy with the work.

Alex called the same day as we left the message and made an appointment to review the windows we wanted replaced. He arrived on time, measured all the windows and gave us a written estimate as well as an estimated time that the windows would be installed. On the day of installation, Alex and his crew arrived a little early - which we thought was great! They came in, took out some extremely old windows and replaced them with the beautiful new vinyl windows. Alex & his crew were polite, professional and extremely efficient - they hit the ground running when they arrived and were finished in less time than they had estimated. They did a fantastic job with the windows and cleaned up everything before they left. There was not a bit of dust or dirt to be seen in any of the areas where they worked. I understand that Windows by Installer also does other renovations and I will definitely call them when we are ready to redo other parts of our house.

Windows by Installer were great, they came and gave us an estimate for all the windows in our house and then they send us an email with a detailed estimate. They were very responsive by phone and email. We had to call them again to prioritize that we had so many and we couldn’t do so many at once. They were happy to go back and revise the proposal based on the windows we were doing. We decided doing only some of the ad deck windows and the basement windows. So they came and took the measurements of the windows. After four weeks and two days later they emailed saying the windows arrived and they scheduled the following Monday. So they came, did the work, were in and out and left the place perfectly clean. We were very happy with what they did. We have many windows and next time we would be using them again.

Dave (one of the owners) came out promptly to give an estimate to replace back slider and some windows that were odd sized. He provided a written estimate the next day and came back to remeasure before placing the order. Because everything had to be special order, it took about 6 weeks but they had a full crew which came out to do the job in less than one day, did a great job, were professional, courteous and clean. The door and windows look wonderful, they cleaned up and took away every little bit of debris. We are really happy with the work they did. I would definitely call windows by installer again.

We had 14 windows that needed replacing in our home. We contacted Windows by Installer and they called us right back and set up an appointment to come and measure the windows and give us an estimate. They arrived on time and explained the process involved in window replacement, showed us the windows they would be installing and answered all of our questions. The price for the new windows was reasonable so we went forward with the job.
Alex, Dave and their crew arrived on time and went right to work. They had the windows installed in about 4 hours. Their installation was speedy and very professional. They were very neat and cleaned up after themselves and even offered to put the shades and drapes back up on the windows!!! Alex and company did a superb job. It's been a great experience working with these guys and we highly recommend this company.

We needed a new storm door and got 3 prices. Oleg had not only the best price, but was able to install it quickly. He guided us through the various options and had us go to the Window City store to view them. Next, we had Oleg and Dave install new windows. I am a teacher and they were even able to accommodate my schedule (coming on Labor Day so I wouldn't have to miss school). They showed up before 8 am with their 2 terrific assistants, and installed 6 windows by 10 am, amazing!
If, you are like us, you've had contractors who leave your house with a mess inside and out, you will be thrilled with these guys. They not only left the house spotless, but cleaned the windows after the install, brought drop cloths so they wouldn't track in dirt, and even vacuumed! They also took away the old windows and doors, no worries.
These 4 gentleman are professionals, polite and extremely conscientious.
