I would not recommend Perfect Packers.

We would not recommend "Perfect Packers".

We used them in November 2017 to relocate from Ontario to Newfoundland and we had our share of concerns:

1) We were quoted on 8400lbs and decided to discard many items prior to the move in order to reduce the cost. Our final invoice claimed 8380lbs. We were never provided (we requested) with the scale weights as promised during the quote. I suspect our actual weight was lower than originally quoted.

2) 24 hours prior to move day, they requested to change the pickup date. As we were unable to accommodate, on move day, the truck was late arriving and wasn't prepared to load my motorcycle. I had to drive it to their warehouse, which delayed our departure.

3) Our master bedroom hardwood floor was scratched (6ft), but not covered by their insurance. (pic)

4) Some of our items were deemed not sufficiently wrapped and I was encouraged to have them add additional paper/cardboard. Their employee (28yrs) said it would be no more than $100. This later cost me $316.19. (pic)

5) The quote included the disassembly and reassembly of all furniture. The only pieces we left for them were a bedframe & jewelry box. Both were damaged in the move and we had to open an insurance claim. The bedframe was replaced and the jewelry box was repaired (took 8 weeks). (pics)

Local Move

Hired them for our local move with storage based on a friend's referral and was thoroughly impressed! The quote we received was competitive and there were no hidden fees after delivery. The office staff was pleasant to deal with and the crew was efficient and careful of our priceless antiques taking extra care to wrap legs etc.
I will recommend them to everyone we know!
Thank you Perfect Packers for taking the stress out of our move. We'll be back for our cross country move

Very Patient, terrific service

Very patient people in the office. Our relocation went very well and they took their time with all of our items and our questions. Arrived on time and the delivery went very well.

Don't trust those who recommend these guys - they are AWFUL!

Never choose this company: they are not trustful and are pretty unprofessional and rude!
We regret so much we moved with these guys!
1. Move itself was very poorly coordinated - all was with delays - pick up, delivery, everything!
2. The stuff arrived with lots of damage.
3. Their complain department were not helpful at all - they just ignore and do not compensate!
4. They charge inappropriate fees and refuse to correct!

Good day, the unfortunate part of this review is that we don't have a name or contact information to see if this can be resolved. There is not even an understanding of from where to where the move took place. We have Branches across Canada and it's very important to us to know where the problems took place so that we can look into the situation. We do appreciate feedback and always take it very seriously. Drop Shipment of Furniture

Mike and Austin from Perfect Packers were amazing. They arrived even before the first day of the delivery window (but called in advance to make sure this was OK).
On the day of, they were at the house promptly at 8 AM, as they advised us they would be, they unloaded all the furniture with such care and skill that to quote my mother-in-law "It's a joy to watch people who are so good at their job."

They worked quickly and neatly, tidying up all the tape and packing equipment and double checked that all the items had been delivered since I had not been present when they were packed up.

This experience with Perfect Packers and Mike and Austin has convinced my husband and I that professional movers are more than worth the cost, we look forward to using this service for our next move.

Unpleasant Moving Day

The guy who wrote the quote just asked about the garage and basement, didn't feel like looking.

Showed up, wasted our time deciding which way to go into driveway, wasted more time by deciding they should have backed in, then moving the van, stopping traffic, etc. Backing in they damaged the tree - huge limb came down.

When the movers inspected the garage they said we were under quoted. Their truck was too small so we had to wait around for another.

It was a long long day. Very stressful. They became impatient and rude. They basically unloaded as much as they could into the garage. suitcases, etc. It would have been nice if they put the shelving against the walls, but instead they put it in the centre, and distributed the rest of the contents around it.

They did the same in the basement (tried to put the shelf in the middle) - but we noticed before it was too late and demanded that it be corrected.

Their impatience (in addition to throwing things wherever they fit - namely the garage, completing ignoring packaging labels) also lead to (I suspect) all the gouges in the walls from rushing in couches through the enteranceway and down the basement stairs. Wish I could upload photos.

They also decided to disassemble our dining room table - the wrong way. There are bolts/nuts, yet they elected to take out the wood screws. Then loose them. Then while re-assembling the table with whatever screws they could find, they stripped the holes, and left the table for me to deal with. Thanks.

Lastly, one of the 3 movers got "sick" and slept in the truck, then left. No complaints there. My complaint is that they then attempted to charge us the more expensive 2-man quote. We had to argue that they not penalize us for the sickness of their employee.

Overall, a really long day. I suppose all moving days are stressful, but the company did not help the experience. Less than impressed. Less than satisfied. Honestly would of been easier to move ourselves as after they left we basically had to anyways.

Move from Ontario to Alberta

We were very pleased with how professional and helpful our movers were. Their comraderie is what made it so pleasant. We moved from Ontario to Alberta and our belongings were delivered in record time. The driver, Rob was so friendly and courteous, we would recommend him and Perfect Packers to anyone contemplating a move whether short or long distance. House move

Having used Perfect Packers for a house move prior, I immediately called them for my move back to Oakville in February 2016. I cannot recommend Perfect Packers enough! Jeff came out to take a look at the size of the move and gave me an estimate. Christine and Cindy followed up in the days before the move, asking if I had any questions, along with offering suggestions on how to make the move easier (for me and for the crew). The moving crew arrived when I was told they would. These gentlemen were friendly, professional, and experienced. I include the word friendly because moving can be very stressful. It is nice to have some laughter and a lot of smiles through the day and it helped a lot to have such a team of people around me. My move was completed easily and without any fuss, in the amount of time I was told it would take. This included the disassembly and reassembly of a few pieces of furniture. Their costs were very reasonable and I would have willingly paid more to have the easy day I did. It was because of my first experience with Perfect Packers that I called them In January. Approaching another company wasn't even a consideration. Hiring Perfect Packers in the lead up to my move took away much of the anxiety of moving. I expressed my appreciation to Christine after my move and asked her to pass along my gratitude to everyone, especially the crew of three that did the physical move. Perfect Packers' customer service is outstanding and is to be applauded. I continue to express my gratitude by sharing my positive experiences. I sincerely cannot recommend them enough.

Move

My move was little complicated but thanks to Mr Jeff MacArthur and Mr Richard everything worked out well. They were very prompt with their correspondence and were able to cater to all my requirements. The only reason for not giving 10 points is the punctuality of the crew.
But on the other hand, the crew was really polite and in spite of having a major issue of one member bailing out, handled it without any disruption and finished the work. Thanks once again.

home movers

I moved from Oakville to Burlington early July 2014. I got an estimate from this company which seemed quite reasonable. After the move, they wanted to charge me 50% over the estimate. I complained to the supervisor at the end of the move, he contacted his boss and we settled on estimate plus 10%. A few weeks later, I noticed the full 50% over estimate charge on my credit card. I called the man who had given me the original estimate and he promised the owner would call me back. No one returned my calls from this company after numerous phone calls and emails. I would never use this company again !!!!! Very poor customer service and they get you on a low estimate and then rack up the charges at the end of the move when everyone is exhausted !!! Very unprofessional.
