The company has agreed to fix the driveway since it is still under 1 year warranty so removing my review. I will update again once they come and fix it.

The team came back to fix the hole today. I am happy now so updated my review 10/10. It was finally all ended well and proves that they are trustworthy.

I would recommend Royal Town Construction to anyone who is looking to redo their asphalt driveway. Not only did they keep to schedule as promise but they were extremely professional throughout the entire experience I had with them. Thank you Kosta and the rest of the team for a great job.

Royal Town Construction completed our driveway and walkway. They provided exceptional customer service, value, and the work was completed in a highly professional manner. I truly appreciated their dependability, prompt responses, and the cost value was unmatched. I would certainly recommend their services.

They say the right things but their customer service is the worst I've ever experienced. We checked the reviews before hiring Kostas and his crew. Their price was good and they seem like great guys. However, after booking them they seem to only communicate when it suits them.

When they finally showed up in November (Booked in early Spring), the crew was great, working like a well-oiled machine. The driveway looked great until the springtime. That's when little oak trees started growing through the asphalt. Not one, but many. I can't get oak trees to grow in my garden but they were doing well in the asphalt that Royal Town Construction put down.
Again, customer service became an issue. I made many phone calls and sent texts but it took Costas forever to respond. Even longer to take action. We're talking three to four months.
If you're a homeowner, understand that these guys do residential to fill the holes between commercial projects. If you're on a deadline - look for another supplier. If you decide to go ahead with Royal Town Construction anyway, and something goes wrong, don't expect them to act fast.

They ended up patching the driveway which made it look awful (see the shot below beside the car - that's the 'new driveway'). So they had a sealer added to the top which they guaranteed would result in a consistent finish. It didn't. And it took almost another year. (Spring 2019 – November 2020)
Do yourself a favour and find another crew.

In 2020, had Royal Town Construction redo my driveway and what an excellent job they have done. They were clean, reasonable, efficient and did exactly what I had told them I wanted. I was really happy with the results and the service provided. I had dealt with Kosta and he was excellent! Very polite and professional. I highly recommend contacting them for any work you need done.

Quick quote, relatively on time for the service. Within 1 month, the asphalt in certain areas started to make holes with mud seeping through. Have been contacting Costa every month since August on this issue and still not resolved. New holes have appeared since.

Advice would be to pick a paving company close to where the work needs to be performed as this company was based far away and only come to see you when in the area which is VERY rare.

Unfortunately I had to retract on my great review given to this company. It was premature. Its been almost a year since the job was done and now the results are terrible. Initially it looked great in appearance hence the great review I posted.
The driveway is a double one with half belonging to my neighbor and the other half belonging to me. It was mutually agreed that the slopes would direct the rain water to the middle of the new driveway then to the road as is the case with almost all double driveways of this kind. That was how the old driveway functioned until it needed replacement.
As it turned out the slope on the new driveway directed most of the water towards my neighbor's house and front lawn, not towards the road as was agreed. One of my pics clearly shows how the water goes from the middle towards my neighbor's side. Now my neighbor is threatening to call the city on me if this is not remedied.
In addition a long 15'-20' (almost twenty feet!) crack developed on my neighbor's side close to the center of our driveway. I have one tiny crack on my side. The neighbor also has grass growing through the asphalt on his side.
The neighbor kept calling these guys but to no avail. Eventually he had his lawyer serve them with a notice to fix the issues but they are just stalling, ignoring the order probably trying to wait out the one year warranty period. The last promise they made was to come in September but they haven't showed up.
Yes they give a one year written warranty but try calling them to fix something major on their completed jobs. Bet they wouldn't do it.
Every company makes mistakes but its how they respond to it that counts. This company is terrible at fixing their mistakes. Take note before entrusting them with your next job.
I will update this review as developments change. Hopefully they fix this mess in a satisfactory manner.
Royal Town guys came on October 23rd 2021 and used a blow torch and thumper to heat the cracks and fill them in. They dug a shallow drain in the hopes of directing the water to the road but it did not work as seen in the pic I posted. Big fail and disappointment. The water is still going to my neighbor's house and maybe the basement. A proper fix would be to remove the old asphalt, regrade and recast the asphalt. They refused to do that so use them at your own risk.
