Westside Drainage

We had water in our heating ducts and suspected a drainage tile problem. We called Carlo, he came out to inspect the site promptly, assessed the problem and suspected it wasn't related to the drainage tile. He stayed at the site while the city came to shut off our water and gave us some great advice to do some additional troubleshooting. He also suggested a few other vendors we could reach out to for quotes for the work that needed to be done. Carlo helped us get to the bottom of the problem even after his work was finished.

Carlo was recommended by a neighbour. We hired him to inspect/scope our external drainage system on our home which he did to our satisfaction and also provided some helpful maintenance suggestions as well. Carlo is professional and extremely knowledgeable, as well as punctual, pleasant and efficient. We would not hesitate to recommend his services to other homeowners.

I was at my wit’s end when I discovered Westside Drainage. I had been given the run-around by another company both with the cost and the length of time they were taking to complete the work. Their promised 4-day job turned into months because they just never showed up. I was living with a trench around my house (and the front door!) for a month before Carlo arrived to fix the mess. The previous company, despite a grand website and much boasting, had no idea what they were doing. Even though the city gave them exact coordinates for my sump, they said I didn’t have one. They even told me that my drainage system didn’t tie into the city line. (Seriously?)

Carlo arrived, listened to my story, found the sump within one minute, and scoped the drains to see what was going on. He returned after the holidays to repair the drain tiles and was finished within 3 or 4 half-days. He is extremely experienced, knowledgeable, capable and honest. My only regret is not having contacted him first. He is my hero! I highly recommend Carlo and Westside Drainage.

Carlos was quick to respond and did not try to oversell me on repairs I didn't need. In fact we ended up needing a simple cleaning - he referred us to another contractor for this - which solved our drainage problem. An honest contractor in an industry where it is sometimes hard to know if you are getting a fair shake.

This project/problem was completed in July 2016. I delayed my review until now to be sure that the fix was the actual fix. We had flooding happening with heavy rains in one of our in home drains. Carlos was very upfront with us that he was very busy, but wanted to help. He came out on a Sunday to scope out the drains all around the house and walked me through the seen problem areas, and open discussion about what we could not see. In the end he was able to make the time to come and hand dig our one side of the houses draintile to expose the problem and fix it for good. He also went through and fixed historical bad work that was done on the house. I am super happy to report that the fix he did was spot on and under budget. 100% recommend Carlos to anyone that wants the job done efficiently and correctly.

Our drainpipes were clogged (nothing had been done with them for over 50 years) and we were getting some water seeping through a foundation crack. Another business told us all our drain tiles needed replaced and quoted $16,000. I called Carlo from Westside Drainage because of his reviews. He came out and put a camera down and sure enough they were clogged with dirt. But Carlo suggested we dig up the two back corners of the house to see what was going on because he thought the backup may just be at those two points. We did the digging ourselves (to save money), Carlo came out and cleared out the debris from those points and determined everything else was working perfectly. He replaced some of the damaged drain tiles in those corners, we fixed the foundation crack and now we are as good as new. And it cost us approximately $1200. I can't say enough about how much his honestly means to me. He could have recommended full replacement but he is not out to swindle people. I highly recommend his service.

Carlo from Westside drainage made an appointment to come out and assess the problem. He was out within the week to start and complete the job. His assessment of the problem was spot on and he came in under the price he had originally quoted.
I would highly recommend him.

Cannot say enough good things about Carlo! He was able to come out on short notice when all of his crews were booked elsewhere. Figured out our flooding problem was result of neighbours broken water main, did work required on our property, checked rest of our drains to make sure they were working, kept in touch with us to finalize work once neighbours finished off remediation work (including checking with their contractors to ensure problem was solved) and arranged sub trade to come and level off/return patio tiles removed during flooding. On time, excellent work & subtrades and cost was well below what everyone said it would cost us! Sorry to say we hope we don't need him again!
