We purchased late March/early April 2013 hoping we could have this done as soon as weather was nice. We asked many questions about any added charges we may want to budget for and our salesman, who kept saying he had 30years experience, was very clear that he couldn’t think of anything that would be a problem. At that point we paid in full (big mistake) twice as much as they quoted us at the homeshow but were confident we were getting a much better quality product with a 25 year life expectancy. We were told once the old liner was removed (which I opted to do myself, very easy) they would send someone to take measurements and two weeks from then the liner would be installed. I had the liner out and ready for measuring by the second week of April, they didn’t come to measure until first week of May, thought I would still be swimming the May24 weekend. Two weeks went by and hadn’t heard anything about a date so I called and emailed multiple time without responses (remember paid in full already), when I finally got someone I was told that the measurements just went out to produce the liner and would be 7-10 days still for the liner. Two weeks later still no appointment for installation and no communication of what was going on and very hard to get anyone to returning my calls and when I finally did get someone they gave me the contact info of the company they contracted out my installation to so I could set up a time, when that person canceled multiple dates they gave me to another contractor and finally got a date set. By this time it’s June 6th (7weeks for a 2week job).
Other than the horrible customer service, we also ended paying an extra $1200 for to grind and repaint the galvanized wall in the pool, which our salesman with 30 years’ experience didn’t think to mention yet every person I’ve spoken to who has had a liner replace has had to get this done. Also, they installed the liner with a double track, which I wasn’t aware of, one track is for the liner and the other for a winter safety tarp, unfortunately because our pool is rounded at the corners they made little cuts in the track in order to bend around the corners so now it’s useless and more of an eye sore.
And my biggest issues are, the liner started slightly pulling out of the track and called them all summer (2014)and even though they said this was a quick and easy fix it wasn’t completed until late October and even then you can still see where the issues where around the pool, we also had wrinkling which started almost immediately, and continues to get worse, and they’ve told me that is because of a chemical unbalance even though I get my water tested weekly at a pool shop with no issues that I’m aware. We paid 5K+ for this and highly doubt it will last 25 years and if it doesn’t I doubt Leisure Industries will honor any kind of guarantee they claim to have.
