After lots of research in many different water tight decking options I came across aluminum decking online and decided to get some samples from craft-bilt and a another company and decided on craft-bilt decking based on my own educated opinion and comparing spec. sheets, alloys, hardness, finish, etc.. With a background in metallurgy and working with aluminum for a living as an aircraft structures technician I had no objections to using this product as it is a material that will last for many years, so my wife and I decided to spend the extra money and rebuild our second level deck here in Shawville Quebec so we will never have to worry about it again. The staff at Craft-bilt were very helpful and replied in a timely matter, the decking arrived packaged extremely well, was pretty straight forward to install and all the fasteners they shipped are of top quality.
We are very happy with the deck so far and loved being able to sit under the deck in the rain and stay dry. We are now ordering Craft-bilt railing and led sconce lighting to finish the job.
