We booked this company for two reasons: 1-they were recommended by a co-worker who told us 'they are rough around the edges but they will get the job done'. 2-They claimed to provid a low rate & 3 men.
We spoke 3X before and settled on date/time/price etc. Less than 48hrs before the move they called to say they had overbooked & could I move our date. I was angry but was able -so I did. On the day of the move only 2 people showed up-I was at the new house, my husband at the old.. They did move the stuff but my husband had to do a lot of the work (bad back and all). At one point one of the men was caught in my fridge looking 'for a beer'! When it came time to pay they insisted on the full amount. Dispite the fact that only 2 showed up, I argued that some rebate should be offered since my husband did one third of the work-therir answer'he didn't have to'. If he hadn't it would have taken an extra hour. There is also the issue of the guy wondering around going through stuff in my house!
I would not trust them. They did work hard, but hide your valuables (and apparently icheap stuff too), and be prepared to work for the difference.
Next time? I will pay the extra $200 the other guys were asking.
