In November 2010, my husband and I wanted to turn an upstairs family room into a 3rd bedroom in our condo townhouse. Since we have a small child, we needed to have an additional bedroom for our in-laws who were coming to stay with us over the holidays. From speaking with a friend, who gave us Clive’s name, we contacted him at Renovate XL. We instantly liked his communication style and professional way of making us feel at ease. It was our first time with renovating our home, so we didn’t know how it was going to turn out. Clive took the time to visit us at home and gave us suggestions on how to turn our open room into a closed bedroom. He gave us an estimate budget and time frame, which would get us ready just in time before our in-laws were to arrive. What we were most impressed with was that he walked us through a very detailed quote and contract prepared for us. So we had visibility on the step by step of what he was going to do and how much it would cost. For just over 2 weeks, Clive and his team worked everyday, without disrupting our family life, and was even making very little noise during our child’s naptime at our request. We were also impressed with how the work areas were so clean after the team left at the end of the day. We couldn’t believe the result! Our new bedroom has a new wall, door, walk-in closet and new paint. It looks completely part of the upstairs as if it’s always been a 3-bedroom house. We showed it to all our friends and families.
