Pilo Appliances

After reading reviews, I came to realize they sell refurbished items.
We are having issues with a few appliances and the phone number
no longer exists.
I think we are stuck!!

NEVER trust Pilo (I won't say appliances). Viewed, thoroughly inspected and bought a washer in pristine condition (though out of box), only to receive in delivery quite another item -- a badly scratched and dented (including on the inside!) wreck that bears no resemblance to the original aside from colour and shape. Good thing I photographed the original before paying. I complained; they refused to refund over five times telling blatant falsehoods. These people only relented when I showed them the original pics and threatened to call the police. I don't care how cheap they sell; what they sell are not appliances.

We recently did some renovations and purchased various kitchen appliances from Pilo. They were very friendly and delivery was fast and efficient. Our LG microwave had an issue with the display and we contacted Pilo a few weeks after it was installed. They had us return it and replaced it with a brand new one. No hassle at all. Overall it was a positive experience an we saved a ton of money!

I purchased a full set of appliances for my home from Pilo Appliances and I would just like to say THANK YOU for taking the time in educating me before my purchase and saving me THOUSANDS of dollars. I recently bought a refrigerator from Pilo appliances.
Several people from Pilo explicitly told me that it was an out of the box item, probably displayed at a store, but never used or refurbished. They also told me that the appliance had a full one year warranty, and offered me a three year warranty as well which I declined.

Pilo Appliances loaded the fridge into my van, and when I took it home I realized that the hoses at the back were damaged. I soon realized that something was wrong, as the hoses began dripping water, thus showing signs of use. I addressed all these problems with Pilo, but the service manager never returned my call.

When the fridge developed several problems, I called the service number that I got from Pilo appliances, who turned out to an authorized Samsung service center. They could not fix the problem, and told me that the freezer was a refurbished unit. As subcontractors they had absolutely no power to replace the unit.

I called Samsung who confirmed that the freezer was refurbished (i.e. scratched out sticker). They also told me that they had nothing to do with refurnished appliances.

With this information, I called Pilo, where a receptionist telling me that since I had warranty with Samsung I should get a new fridge if they were unable to fix the problem. Samsung has NO warranty on refurbished products. The warranty is with Pilo, and honored by a authorized Samsung appliance service center . I tried numerous times to get to speak to the warranty manager, but my call was not returned.

Now I have a broken fridge that cannot be fixed.

I was looking for a new washer and dryer pair. I visited many major appliance and home stores and scoured Kijiji. Through Kijiji, I learned about Pilo Appliances, and decided to pay them a visit.

This appliance retailer seems to specialize in heavily discounted, high end, unboxed appliances. If any of it was "scratch and dent" it was hard to tell, because absolutely everything in the store looked pristine and unblemished.

Pilo offered me an excellent deal - including a comprehensive extended warranty at no extra charge - and a very reasonable delivery fee. The service was very polite, delivery was flawless, and I am thrilled with the new appliances.

There's a leap of faith involved in spending money on appliances at a business that isn't (yet) high profile... in this case, I'm very glad I did.
