First of all, M.G.S Lawncare has changed its name to M.G.S Window Cleaning and Power Washing. I purchased its power washing services via a group buy deal a few months ago. The name of the gentleman I dealt with was Mark.

Mark came by to provide a quote right after I had contacted him. He provided me a schedule for the first half of the project that was to wash the existing sand out. The second half of the project was to lay the new sand and was supposed to be 3 days later, but it was delayed due to rain. Mark asked for 100% of the payment due on day of the first half of the project. I was uncomfortable with this, as I usually don't pay contractor 100% upfront. He was reasonable enough to accept partial payment, with the balance due on the day when he laid the sand. He did such as good job in washing out the existing sand that 2 of my neighbours hired him for power washing for their driveways, too.

The second half of the project was delayed much as it rained too frequently. In the end, I picked a day that was definitely dry, with possibility of 1mm of rain next day. Note that the weather forecast had been rather inaccurate for my area, and given the temperature cooling down quickly, I had to take a chance. Mark showed up as promised, and he did a fine job. It rained after approximately 15 hours of dry weather, so the driveway didn't look perfect, but it was good enough for the weather situation.

I would recommend Mark's work. I suppose Greg is his partner, but I have never dealt with him. Mark didn't really reply phone messages or answer phone calls, but he replied emails promptly.

Last but not least, power washing and laying new sand is a job that is affected by weather. I would not recommend undertaking this type of project in spring and fall when there are frequent rainfalls.

I came to know about MGS lawncare through dealfind,i called them and Greg came the next day which was june 30 iasked him about the service he has for interlockin power wash we agreed on deal which was $500 cash no tax if by chq+tax .He came next day washed the backyard next hale of front,please note he said all services are prepid and took$500 in cash,the date was june he did not finish the job he told us he is going on vacation and will be back on june9 since then i have send him severail Emais called him no reply and the agoney is he did not give us a recepit ,he has to lat sand on front and backyard and finish the job he is no show no reply i am so dissopinted in fraud if you read this reviev Greg you should be ashmed of youself we trusted you. People please beware of this person.

November 6, 2011. Update.
After I posted the original review, Greg contacted me and promised to re-do the windows on Saturday. As promised, he showed up in the morning and completed the job, the drip-downs are gone and we're pleased with the result. Prompt communication would have made the service a lot more enjoyable.
November 3, 2001. Original Review.
I'm quite upset to be leaving a negative review. We purchased the coupon for window cleaning on a daily deal website (Kijiji daily deal). Greg was extremely pleasant on the phone and in person. He showed up on time and on the day agreed (Sep. 24.). We tipped him $20 once he was done, he seemed pleased. Later that day, however, I noticed that three windows on one side of the house had drip-down marks covering the top third of the window - 2 windows on the 2nd floor and one window on the ground level. I took pictures of drip-downs and emailed them to Greg asking if he could fix those. He was apologetic and promised to come on October 8th or earlier to fix the issue. This was the last I've heard from him. October 8th has come and gone and Greg did not come nor did he contact me. I have emailed him on October 11th to ask if he was going to come and again on Octobe 19th. Both emails went unanswered. I also called him on November 2nd and left a voice mail, no response. Called again today (Nov. 3rd) but it went to the voicebox again.
Arguably, the drip-down marks look worse than the dirty window, so I feel like we went from bad to worse and had to pay for it. Quite disappointed in the lack of integrity of this company and in the incomplete job I will now have to hire someone else to fix.

I have used M.G.S. Lawncare twice and have been VERY PLEASED with the results. Greg is reliable and hard working. He does a great job and I would not hesitate to recommend him.

I just called Greg at MGS Window Cleaning to make my second appointment this year for window cleaning. I had my windows cleaned back in June, hadn't spoken to Greg since then & he remembered me & where I lived!

Greg arrived on time on the date we agreed on, was fast, thorough, polite & very professional. He suggested that I clean my windows twice a year & explained that this will put a coating on the windows that will help repel dirt so they won't look as bad (should the coating not be on there).

I found MGS Window Cleaning from an online coupon company, however I will be using & recommending Greg for any future window cleaning.
PS. I believe they also do lawn care...

I found M.G.S Lawncare after they ran a daily deal offer and decided to try them out for Window Cleaning since we just had lots of construction done and the windows were very dirty. Not only did Greg show up Early, he showed up 1 WEEK early ? perhaps a mis-entry in the appointment book but I was pleasantly surprised. For $20 I have to say they did a really good job, fast, and friendly. Also a regular rate of only $35 is still a great deal for the work done. I would have liked however if he had upsold me on also cleaning off and washing down the dirt that collected onto the flashing around the windows since the dirt from the windows just ended up on the bottom of the windows flashing and thus still very dirty but to be fair this was not part of the job of what was agreed upon but I wish he had said look, for an extra $10 I will make sure the siding/flashing and window sill are cleaned up too. If he had done that without asking or done it with an upsell, it would have been a 10/10 rating for sure Also the back door which is just one pane of glass was not done (but again its easy to do and I did it myself but it would have made a better impression). I highly recommend them based on the one visit to my house and I plan to have them come back in the fall again to clean the windows. Hopefully all the staff work as well as the owner.
