Clearview Home & Property Inspections

I was very pleased with my home inspection (w/ thermal imaging). It was far more thorough than I expected. Shadowing Tom on his second walkthrough was an extremely beneficial learning experience for myself, and honestly that in itself was worth the cost. I've lived here over fifteen years and he schooled me on quite a few things that I was completely unaware of. The online report and "fix it" list are also great tools. I highly recommend his services, and do not pass up the opportunity to shadow him around your home.

Tom did a home inspection for us. He was very patient with all of our questions and always made himself available. Very respectful and enjoyed the services they offered.

We are first-time home buyers, and Tom made our home inspection so informative and interactive. He was very knowledgeable in all areas of the home, walked us through each room and explained his inspection to us along the way. We were very impressed and would recommend Tom and Clearview to anyone!

Thomas was recommended highly from my real estate agent. He explained everything clearly on the phone prior to arranging the home inspection. He was on time and thoroughly walked through our potential home. He was also available after the inspection for follow-up questions.

We just bought our first house during the pandemic. Despite having an inspection report from the seller, we decided to do another inspection as a second opinion because of the age of our home (100+ years). We choose Clearview because of the amazing reviews and how professional they were on the phone. Tom was amazing and thorough! Since it was during the pandemic, he came with a respirator mask and did the 2.5 hours inspection thoroughly. After the inspection was done, we chatted about our major concerns which made us feel a lot more at ease. Later that evening, he sent us the comprehensive report and walked us through areas of highlights over the phone. We were very happy with the whole process!

Two month after we moved in, we spotted some small water marks on the ceiling (this was due to condensation from humidity). Out of worry, we messaged Tom as he quickly became our go-to-person for home issues. Tom went above and beyond - he dropped by our home again and checked out the walls with his infrared camera to help us narrow down the issue. We are thankful for everything Tom has done for us!

MONEY WELL SPENT - We found Tom by reviewing a house inspection report he completed on a home that was for sale. We were impressed with his detailed report. Tom was very professional during our phone conversation and explained prices and options to us. We needed someone who also had experience in Pool Inspections.

The inspection was thorough and after he completed one area he gave us a run down of any concerns to be aware of. We were able to ask questions and he provided great advice. This was key for me, as with previous inspectors refuse to talk during inspection or get offended. Tom was was very patient with all our questions. But we were also sure not too bombard him with questions and let him do his job. We asked at the appropriate time. After inspection, he was able to find mold in the attic and some other discrepancies.

Pool Inspection
He provided us with a thorough pool inspection testing the water ph, inspecting equipment heater, pump, age or the liner , visible wear and tear. He opened up the heater and checked inside. Let us know of safety concerns with diving board , heater etc.

In conclusion we were very pleased! His inspection helped us to recover costs from our sale for mold removal. He provided a detailed report with pictures. I would highly recommend Tom , especially if you are a first time home owner and not sure of what to look for. Thanks Tom!

We just bought our first home and had seen an inspection Thomas had done previously, and loved his level of detail. When we reached out, he was great with communicating and advising us on what type of inspection to go with. He picked up on some items that the other inspector had missed (such as moisture and roof issue). He was happy to spend lots of time with us with any questions, and has been great to communicate with afterwards. I've already passed on Thomas' details and would recommend using him! Although my experience was more with this inspector, Clearview's website, template and overall ressources have been great to use.

Tom did my home inspection when I bought my first home in 2015. Remembering his great service, I called him up again when I am getting another place in the same area. Despite the COVID-19 situation, Tom took all necessary precaution and came on time, did a very detailed inspection of the house. He is always very patient to answer all the questions I have. Would highly recommend him for any home inspection need in the area.
