Partial Roof Replacement and Dryer Hookup

I was referred to Imperial Roofing from a community neighbour. I reached out to Stephan in the summer who promptly returned my calls and/ or responded to my text messages.

I had my roof replaced in July 2009 (by a substandard roofing company - NOT Imperial), but being ignorant on what questions to ask, I had no idea that a rain/ ice shield needs to be applied beneath the shingles - at least 3' up from the eaves. Following the ice storm in December 2013, with the spring thaw in March 2014, I had a massive leak - which the insurance company denied because my "roof failed to meet building code". My roofing issues were later compounded by the poor ventilation/ insulation problems and the fact that the builder (some 12 years ago) decided to vent my dryer on a straight up and down vertical though my roof deck. Unfortunately, the builder cut corners and dryer pipe stopped short 12-18" from the top of the roof deck.

I spoke with Stephan about my roofing concerns. He assured me that he had handled situations like mine in the past. Stephan and his crew provided a first-rate job. They refaced the north and west facades - those which get the most snow. They applied 6-9' of rain/ ice shield, installed a maximum air vent and hooked up my dryer vent by cutting a hole in the plywood and entering into my attic cavity from the outside.

Mike Mattarocci was in charge of the dryer vent hookup - undoubtedly the trickiest part of the job. His service, knowledge and expertise is topnotch! He went above and beyond the call of duty- removing the old insulation around the pipe and re-insulating the entire pipe - as opposed to simply the 12-18" extension. At my request, he even applied some extra rain/ ice shield to further seal off the hole that had been cut into the plywood. Mike and his crew arrived at my home in a timely manner and cleaned up at the end of the day.

If you want a roofing company who knows what they are doing, who are professional, respectful and don't inflate their prices - then I highly recommend Imperial Roofing!

Approximate cost of services:
$3,000.00
