not very happy with their overall cleaning, did not do a very good jog inspecting the furnace and cleaning as well. Did not explain what was the problem with the furnace.

thye came in to clean and broke the furnaceflame sensor wanted another $90 to repair and actual cost of part was only $19 at the time which was purchased eventully from Arpi's would not recommend as all was working prior to thier cleaning job.

after a few quotes we decided to go with Sears for the Carrier Infinity system, they conducted the install very professionally. We would have no problem recommending Sears to any one.

The air throughout the house is not much better than it was originally. The price for the service was reasonable but not what i had in mind. overall i was not satisgied . Thank you very much.

I had always been a skeptic of Sears until now. I had to replace my furnace in the middle of Winter. I called Sears and they sent a sales person right over the next day. I had three estimates taken - one by Direct Energy, another by Home Depot, and the last by Sears and of all three Sears was the most affordable and had sales people that were the most knowledgeable. The Home Depot sales person just gave me a quote over the phone without even looking at the furnace (which is quite strange because how can you give a quote without seeing what work had to be done?). Direct Energy was very slow to respond, the sales person just tried to push the most expensive model which was about $1000 more than what everyone else was selling their furnaces for, and seemed to have little technical knowledge of the task at hand. The sears sales rep was very knowledegable, took actual measurements of the existing furnace and space, thoroughly discussed all the options available for me, and gave me a cost quote that was very reasonable, and also advised me of potential unforseen costs that could come up (luckily these did not come up but atleast he had provided me the information prior to). All in all, the work was done about 2 weeks later without a problem. The installers were quick and clean (did not make a mess of my house, laid tarp every where, and sweeped up after). Now we have an energy efficient furnace that is working without any problems (so far). Would highly reccomend Sears.

Called Sears Home to fix furnace that needed a new part (I already knew which part as it had to be replaced 10 years earlier). Repairman gave estimate but was pushing for me to buy a new furnace and would not seem to take "not interested at the moment" for an answer. Anyway, he said he would be back the following day with the new part which he verified was available. Two Days later - still no repairman and it is cold outside. I call repeatedly only then to be told that the part is not available and the fee for the home call would be refunded. I call another company who fixes the furnace and gets the part from exactly the same supplier as Sears Home. Sears Home clearly did not want to fix the furnace since I would not buy a new one from them. Furthermore, they attempted to charge me for the home call and it took 4 calls to get the charged dropped. Promptly cancelled my Sears card and will not be buying anything from Sears again.
