Hot tub repair

As a pregnant mom, I should have read through all the reviews before I contacted this company so I won't waste more than one month time for all the troubles with Paul. He lacks professional ethics and always have excuses for his no show and being late, also never apologize and blame all on customers. He always said "I have so much work to do I am busy" but never think from our perspective that everyone has lots of work to do and time is precious for everyone

I firstly called Paul in Sep. and he said he would give us an inspection for 120 dollars. It "seemed" cheaper than other companies, so I asked for an appointment for inspection. After several times attempt to reach him, he finally come for "inspection" on Oct. 6. However, I filled water, but he didn't even turn on our hot tub, just said he found the tub on fire before and not sure whether it was safe, asked me to contact fire department to confirm. Even though, he charged me 95 dollars in cash. Then I checked with several friends about the safety issue, after I confirmed with Paul that we would like to fix the hot tub on Oct. 20, he said he need to order the parts- but he didn't know what parts we need since he didn't do any inspection actually. So I had to ask him again and again to come back for another "inspection" untill Oct. 28, he said he could come "today or tomorrow morning", but he dissappeared again! The next morning, he said he could come, I said I would be out of home around noon so he need to come either morning or later afternoon. He replied me very upset saying "OK I changed my schedule just for you" What?!!! It was he said that he would come the earlier day or that morning then he blamed me! I should have stopped the connection with him at that moment, but due to the money I paid, I don't want to change another company since I need to pay once more the inspection fee, so I tried my best to be patient with him and offered him another chance.

He came and measured the parts, then disappeared again!! Untill today, Nov. 11, he said his guy would come to repair. I think hopefully all could be done today and I don't need to contact this terrible guy any more. But, a guy came and removed the current parts around 2.30pm and said Paul would come in an hour with new parts, then I had to keep staying home untill it is totally dark. I texted Paul asking if he would not come today. He said they already came and would try tomorrow. I asked when, he disappeared again!

This guy is the most unreliable guy I ever seen in Canada, pay most attention if you want to contact him! till now he even never apologize for any inconvenience he brought to us.

Okay Rebecca lets go through your comments; 1. I do not and did not blame any customers for anything. 2. After I inspected your tub and found that had been in a fire I tried to explain to you that I d not think it was safe for an expecting mother to use this tub as I know that burnt PVC can be dangerous as explained here by what I found on the web,

"When produced or burned, PVC plastic releases dioxins, a group of the most potent synthetic chemicals ever tested, which can cause cancer (dioxin is the most potent carcinogen known to science) and harm the immune and reproductive systems".

I suggested that you should get an opinion from fire dept. since you did not like what I had try to explain to you that I thought it was not safe. I don't know what "friends" of yours are qualified to give you their opinion on fire safety and or off gas poisoning from burnt PVC plastic. When you contacted me back 2 weeks later telling me that you still wanted the repairs done I explained that we would have to order the jets. You claim I did not do the inspection, obviously I was there and did the inspection. I even came back again at no charge, to try and explain to you again that I did not think it was safe for you to use this hot tub that was on fire, but you insisted on the repair so we took photos and attempted to get the jets which we had to order from our supplier as they were not in stock. 3. As explained in my reply text to you I did change my schedule for you in attempt to help you even though I did have other clients waiting as well as you. You are making it sound like I kept you waiting and you were having to come home to be there for us, but you had explained to me in person that you where home all the time with your pregnancy and things were ok, you did not express any issue with me, in person. 4. My guy was there, starting the repair while I went to Toronto on a Friday afternoon to pick up your special order jets, but I could not get back there before the daylight was gone as I tried to explain when you texted me, I even offered to come back the next day on a Saturday. 5. I am quite shocked that you are making these claims as to my character. I think you are upset that I gave you answers you did not want to hear that I thought you should not use that tub that was on fire due to possible heath issue with it.
Finally I did not "disappear again" and I take special exception to you claiming I am a "terrible guy", I have been in this business for 26 years now and have hundreds of happy clients and an A+ rating on BBB. I have apologized and sent you a refund. Contact me if you would like to discuss further.
