We chose to hire Bunell Mechanical when our oil heating system had to be replaced suddenly. It was a huge job! We dealt directly with Dave, who was kind, promt to respond, clearly explained all our options and made what was initially an overwhaealming experience much less stressful for us!! He is a master of his trade and has an obvious passion for his work. Dave always took the time to answer any question we had and put us at ease. The process was seamless. Dave replaced our old oil heating system with natural gas, he installed an energy efficient boiler heating system and new radiators and he even gave us a great deal on an eco thermostat and submitted all the documentation for tax break incentives for us!! We are very happy with the end result and highly recommend Dave and Burnell Mechanical. The cost was well worth the quality service and products we recieved! They are professional, stick to their quotes and deliver high quality service!!

As a single father, an architect by day and hobby carpenter / dyi renovator by night. Dave has been instrumental in helping my home being safe and warm. Helping me with gas fitting as well as bathroom plumbing exceeding any expectations with going above and beyond. Highly recommended for any professional mechanical needs you may have.

This guy pretends to be an full service heating and plumbing guy and on the phone says has over 25 years experience with fixing water radiators, and that he has a several-man crew. He charges 190.97 (including HST) to come over and just give you a proposal. Big advice: DON'T pay him anything until you see some work done!

He came over wasting my time, and looked at the radiators two of which he broke the valves of, trying to close/open. He was supposed to send us a proposal how to fix one of the water radiators and the thermostat. Despite calls and 2 weeks passed, he never provided a proposal/quote and did a big NOTHING. When complained to him, he instead blackmailed me that he was going to rout on us to TSSA if I complained to anyone!
This is the most reprehensible HVAC contractor I have ever dealt with as a property owner/manager.

No one knows his stuff better than David. He does not stop until the job is done and done right. His passion and knowledge is evident even to someone who doesn't know the first thing about boilers or rads. And he's a very agreeable fellow! wouldn't hesitate for a second to recommend him.

After struggling for a month to get a radiator hooked up properly, I found David. Came very highly recommended by Addison's Inc. I was very skeptical (because of my previous experiences) at first but David was able to change my views. David is highly skilled, professional and knowledgeable. He is all you need for boiler heating services. He also makes sure that your new hardwood floors do not get damaged.

David found the time on short notice for a small job relative to his more usual undertakings: replacing the corroded and pitted (and leaking) taps on an ancient claw-foot bathtub and similarly ancient pedestal wash sink. He was recommended to me by Jim Addison at Addison's Plumbing. He was courteous, professional, and gave me the advice I needed re: repairing vs replacing the fixtures. And he even walked around the corner to Addison's to select antique repro replacement taps after we had discussed what I wanted.
I definitely would call David again, and highly recommend him.

When it came time to replace our very old boiler in 2010, we knew it would be a costly job and decided to get three quotes before making any decisions. From our initial meeting to establish a quote, I was impressed with David Burnell's vast knowledge and many licensed qualifications. He is extremely thorough and takes the time to explain the pros and cons of different options. His quote was very competitive but what swung the decision in his favour was his pleasant and professional manner. It is a pleasure to have David working for you. He is incredibly polite, conscientious, clean, punctual and trustworthy. In fact, he saved us money and future headaches by suggesting a combined indirect hot water tank with our new boiler, using our original lined chimney for the venting. Originally, we had been told a separate side vent was necessary and this was undesirable. We continue to benefit from David's experienced craftsmanship and have recommended Burnell Mechanical to several of our friends.

Burnell Mechanical has provided great customer service and high quality workmanship in our home renovations over the last 10 years. We have worked with David to completely replace and install our hot water heating system, the entire plumbing and sanitary systems, and the installation of radiant in floor heating in our kitchen, bathrooms and basement. We find David to be extremely thoughtful, competent and thorough in all aspects of his work.
We would definitely recommend Burnell Mechanical to anyone seeking great service and high quality workmanship.

David is an incredible craftsman. I don't think I'd ask him to fix a leaky faucet, but if I had a job requiring fine work and meticulous attention to detail, he'd be my guy. I've never seen anybody from any trade work with the precision of David, and he's not just a craftsman; his overall knowledge is incredible.

I have been using Burnell Mechanical for all my plumbing and HVAC systems over the past 12 years and found David to be extremely professional and competent.
