The ventilation that connects my water heater to the chimney was improperly sloped and could be a cause for carbon monoxide to flow back into the house. I called Walter, and he was at the house within 2 hours. He assessed the issue, and scheduled his son Ron to come and correct the issue in the afternoon of the same day. The quality of work was outstanding, and the service amazing. Both Walter and Ron are very professional, polite, and my wife and I were thoroughly impressed with their service. I would recommend them without hesitation, and we can't thank them enough for their expertise and professionalism.

After Direct Energy did a scheduled cleaning service call of our gas furnace, they attached a tag for a TSSA 8.12 2 violation — the liner was over-sized and needed to be replaced properly. Direct Energy actually recommended Walter Townshend & Son so we called and made an appointment. The service was on time, very reasonably priced and courteous. My highest commendations to a superb company.

I had Ron from Walter Townshend & Sons Inc come to fix a chimney issue I had in my basement, smoke coming from the upstairs fireplace. Ron took the time to explain to me what the issue was, options and suggestions. When Ron was done his work, we went over what he had done again and he made sure I understood and was comfortable with the job.
As promised by Ron, I don't have smoke in the basement anymore and can finally enjoy hot fires upstairs.

After discovering a carbon monoxide leak coming from our water tank, WTS Inc. quickly diagnosed the problem and got to work in freezing temperatures. They also found two other unexpected issues that they provide a range of economic solutions to (e.g. did not pressure me into choosing the most expensive) and went the extra mile in making the cheaper solution work and look nice. They were polite, explained the problem in easy to understand terms, and cleaned-up. Also, being pregnant, I was extra sensitive to some of the smells that resulted from the repair work and they were excellent about coming back to explain what the smells were and to assure me that it wasn't a gas leak -they were very professional and understanding and didn't make me feel like a crazy pregnant woman. I would recommend them to anyone and will be having them come back in the summer to finish off a few other outstanding minor repairs.

We have called on Walter, Ron and their crew to come to our aide several times in the past 8 years. It was nice to have Ron come for a non-emergency reason and install a gas fireplace into our existing opening just before Christmas. Always professional and pleasant to work with. I would recommend them in an instant and I am sure I will use them again in the coming years. You can`t go wrong with this crew!
