Garfield assessed our backyard extension roof which had rotted so badly. He gave an estimate and finished the job methodically and efficiently. He actually had to shoo away a large raccoon (about 2’ long excluding its tail) that had dug a den into the roof. He cleaned up excellently. I am very pleased with the work he did and am quite honoured to have met with the man.
Front slope and porch shingle replacement
Armstrong & Nelson installed new eavestrough and leaf guards. The installer noted that the front slope shingles were in a bad state. We canvassed around and got best response (timely and reasonable) Armstrong & Nelson. The roofer, Tom, came on a sunny day and removed 3 layers of shingles accumulated over the years from a handyman we habitually hired. He noted bad practices employed on the roofs he worked on and corrected those. Very good work. We're absolutely pleased.

Garrison & Derek came to the house promptly (a touch early, as a matter of fact) and did a superb job. They removed the furniture from the living room we are converting into the living quarters of an elderly aunt who suffered a stroke. Too, they removed a carpet and the three rugs atop it while having to move 8 pieces of furniture that were meant to be stay in the room. The job was done cleanly and quickly. No damage to the room, hallway or doors. Would definitely recommend this company to others.

After Direct Energy did a scheduled cleaning service call of our gas furnace, they attached a tag for a TSSA 8.12 2 violation — the liner was over-sized and needed to be replaced properly. Direct Energy actually recommended Walter Townshend & Son so we called and made an appointment. The service was on time, very reasonably priced and courteous. My highest commendations to a superb company.
