Windows

At the end of November we had the windows replaced on a house we had just moved into in September. Everyone I spoke to at Northern Comfort was VERY nice and very helpful (thats where the 2 stars for satisfaction came from). All the people who came to my house were polite, respectful and very friendly! Sadly, the quality of the install was less satisfactory. Window trims were not finished, and some of the ones that were finished were done poorly. The large window in our family room leaks air and the wrong window style was ordered for 3 of the 4 of our front windows (so they didn't match). I spoke to the sales man shortly after the install regarding this (a week later maybe?), he seemed concerned and let me know that, at no charge they would change the window style so they all matched. We decided to change the 1 correct style to match the other 3 that were not correct, just to make it easier and less expensive for the company. Everyone makes mistakes, and the style didn't matter THAT much to us. I had mentioned to the sales rep about the other problems (leaking air, water leak, nails showing, unfinished trim.. etc), he told me that the person that was coming to fix the window style would fix the other problems as well, but it was going to take a couple of weeks to have the window ordered, and that would take us in to christmas, so we agreed that early January would be ok for them to come by and fix it all. When the man came to fix it, he had no idea that he needed to look at other things, and did not have the tools to fix the problems. He took pictures and wrote notes and agreed that it was not a great job done. I was told that he was going to pass it all on and we would have someone come and fix the problems (this was on January 20th, 2 months after the install). I had not heard from the company so I called them, kinda upset. Asking what was going to be done, and if anyone was going to contact me. The receptionist booked an appointment for someone to come and said that she was surprised that no one has contacted me regarding this. So today is 3 months from the install date, someone from the company is coming to hopefully fix all the problems. We will see how this goes, but so far, I have lost all faith in this company.
As I said before, everyone that I have spoke to in this company has been very nice. But I didn't pay 12000 to just deal with nice people, I want windows that are installed properly.

I still have not been contacted by anyone in the company, not to apologize for the inconvenience of all the return visits or the 'forgetting' about calling me to book the repairs. I am a VERY unsatisfied customer!
UPDATE: Northern Comfort finished my windows and they look beautiful. We get compliments on them all the time! The people working here are very nice.

Approximate cost of services:
$12,000.00
