They really did an amazing job!

"I just felt it was important to say what an amazing job Mark Shields and his crew did in helping replace a blocked downspout (caused some flooding). Mark was personable and professional. He made sure the work was 100% by staying on the job site until the job was completed to his satisfaction. I would highly recommend GutterForce and if I ever need this type of help again I will definitely call GutterForce again.
Thank you to Mark and his Team"

Great Service

I hired Gutter Force to clean my eavestrough for 5 seasons. I received a spring eaves cleaning email reminder last week from Gutter Force and booked a service call while I was away for a business trip overseas.

After the work was done they sent me the bill by email with some photos showing Gutter Force technician removed a large bird nest from inside of a down pipe. Manager answered my questions promptly every time. I paid the bill by email transfer. That was it. An annual eavestrough maintenance was done. It was a pleasure to deal with Gutter Force Team. I would certainly recommend Gutter Force to neighbors and friends.

Fixing Leaking Downpipes

"Our downpipe was leaking in the joints during heavy rain storm last week. I call Gutter Force for my concerns of basement flooding because of the leaky downpipe. The lady on the phone was very friendly. She listened to my problems and sent the technician to my house in an hour.

The technician was very knowledgeable and informative, he inspected the downpipe and told me that the downpipe was clogged with debris. Water was backing up, and it would also split over from the top and the joint.

He unblocked the ""s"" joint, replaced the old parts, adjusted the slope of the downspout to improve the flow of water and re-secured my old downpipe.

I was very impressed by Gutter Force's service. A great company with a caring team.
I would definitely call Gutter Force again if I have any problem on my eaves trough and down pipe in the future. I would recommend Gutter Force to friends and family."

A gushing review - Not gushing eaves troughs

I called Mark to quote on replacing our eaves troughs and remove a downspout. He gave me a detailed quote, and upon approval, gave us swatch samples the same day for colour choice and installed the next day. No fuss, no mess and the fee was as quoted. His team came in and completed the job in 1 day for our 3 story house. I was so impressed I have used his recommendation for a painter as I trust he would not want to tarnish his reputation with someone who he could not vouch for.

Thank you for the feedback. Big older houses are not easy to do. Many companies won't even work on them. The house looks great with the new eaves and will look like a new place once Dave the painter does the siding and trim.

Gutters and Soffits

Mark responded to our inquiry immediately. When I first met him he was friendly and informative. Mark always answered all of our questions (questions were numerous)!! He returned all of our calls immediately and was very patient. We got the quotation quickly and the installation date was booked without too much waiting time.
The installation took a day and the installers were very friendly and knowledgable. Mark came to check the work on the day and then a couple days after. When Mark was inspecting the job he unhappily noticed some finger prints that could only be reached by using a ladder. Two days later I looked for the finger prints and they were
gone. I would highly highly recommend Mark and Gutter Force.

I always want homeowners to look up with pride at their newly installed eaves troughs. Finger prints being wiped off are just one of the little details we need to do with every installation...even if it means we need to go back and go up ladders to remove them. :)

Eaves replacement completed on time and within budget

We moved to our new house just a few weeks ago. My wife and I noticed that there was large amount of water pouring through the gaps between the eavestrough and the roof edge during rainstorms.
I called Gutter force and met with manager Chris for a consultation regarding my eavestrough issues. Chris walked me through the inspection of our 25 years old eaves system. Chris pointed out that the old eavestrough was falling off from the fascia board and was beyond repair. On top of that water gushing down behind the eavestrough caused leaking into the house through the fascia and soffit. Water marks weer showing on roof wood and mould started growing on the walls and roof edges. It was emergency situation.

Chris gave me a verbal quote for replacement on the spot and sent me and official quote via e-mail, which also included references and other supporting information. Of course, I contacted a few other companies next day to get a second opinion, receiving three other quotes over the phone and in person. Gutter force's price was competitive and they provided the best warranty, for as long as I own my home.

I just felt it was important to say what an amazing job Chris and his crew did in helping replace old eavestroughs and downpipes next day after we gave it a go. Crew was personable and professional, they made sure work was done right, all while answering my questions about small details of work. The job looks great and exceeded our expectations in timing.
Thank you to the gutter force team, you guys are great at what you do.

Best regards, Jeff.

Eavestrough fixing

They came to fix our eavestrough. We pointed out specific areas that we knew needed fixing. They did the work, and next time it rained, those same spots leaked. We called them back, did another fix job, and they CHARGED us again. It still leaked afterwards. They also got rid of the stoppers atop each downspout, said they were unnecessary. Plus the man we dealt with the second time was rude. Terrible terrible so called service.

Open letter to Homestars Team

Dear Homestars Team:

In late July-2015, a review of our company's services was published on Homestars Web-page. An internal investigation was launched immediately, involving all managerial and technical personnel of Gutter Force. After thoroughly auditing accounting data, we couldn't identify a customer with such name and services in the last 3 months.

We have attempted to resolve the issue through requesting an investigation on your side, however, review was still published. Our second e-mail to you, sent on the 31st of August, still has no response.

We believe that healthy competition and honest feedback is what drives the industry and leads to betterment of services. For Gutter Force, customer satisfaction is the best indicator of success and we would never leave a customer's feedback unattended and unaddressed.

The fact that Homestars knowingly publishes reviews that might not represent real situations raises a lot of concerns about your credibility. Such actions affect all the stakeholders, giving customers wrong perceptions about businesses.

Please feel free to reply to our latest e-mail to contact us so we could solve this issue professionally.

History of our communications is shown below.

Hello, Shawn.

We are reaching to you regarding latest feedback by Alex on our services. Feedback is published on Homestars (http://homestars.com/companies/2781516-gutter-force).

We have already initiated an investigation on the above-mentioned review, yet, it still came back online a few days ago.

At Gutter Force, we take customer complaints very seriously and strive to resolve every issue quickly and professionally.
The office never received a phone or e-mail complaint from person named Alex in the last year. Furthermore, no one was charged with the mentioned amount (350.00) for repairs this year.

We kindly ask you to re-initiate second investigation. If this review is credible – please provide us with an invoice number for the amount that Alex is referring to in the feedback or the date Alex was serviced by us.

Thank You
Gutter Force Management

Hello,
I am a member of managerial team here at Gutter Force.

We take customers feedback very seriously and have just completed checking of all our transactions in the past quarter. We didn't have a customer with the name "Alex" or "Alexander"; furthermore, the amount that is mentioned in a review (350.00) was never charged for any repair jobs.
As every other service company, we, naturally, do occasionally receive feedback/complaints over the phone or via e-mail and we are doing our best to correct situation. We didn't have a single complaint in the past month, which leads us to thinking that the person might have mixed us with some other service provider.

Please help us resolve this issue.
Thank you.

6" eavestrough and leaf guard installation

Gutter force did a fantastic job installing 6" eavestroughs and leaf guards. They suggested I go with the 6" aluminum plate leaf protectors instead of the 5", the bigger one would be better handling the heavy rains preventing splash over. Job was done on time and crew was friendly.

eavestrough and downpipe installation

The Gutterforce crew did an excellent job installing my new eavestrough this fall. Mark explained everything to me initially then the crew foreman took over and explained where the downpipes would be placed. Very professional and courteous. Did a great job cleaning up especially the metal trimmings. This was very important as I've got a dog and kids running around bare feet all the time. Highly recommend them to anyone looking to install new eaves professionally and in a timely manner. Warranty is also excellent, for as long as you own your home.

Eavestrough Cleaning

Gutter Force came to our house and cleaned out the eavestrough as planned. Everything was fine except for the fact that we noticed that during the eavestrough cleaning the downspout had been knocked off the eavestrough and the two parts were no longer connected. We called Marc to request that they come back and repair the damage. They came back within the week but then tried to charge an additional $80 fee for a minor repair. When we called to discuss this additional fee, which we thought was unreasonable given the fact that Gutter Force had been responsible for the disconnection, Marc became irate immediately. He ranted about people in their thirties wanting everything and was extremely rude and unprofessional. While the work itself was acceptable, we cannot recommend Gutter Force because of their utter lack of professionalism.

The cleaning job as he mentions all went well but he failed to mention his wife didn’t contact us or pay us for two weeks after the cleaning job was done. When we did call her for payment she told us that our crew had knocked the downspout elbow loose were it attaches to the eaves. We agreed to go back and check it out to see what had happened. My crew were busy with getting jobs done before winter setting in so I (Mark) decided I would check it out personally. Upon Arrival I saw that the downpipe elbow was disconnected from the eaves at the top. So I put up a 25ft ladder and climbed up to screw the elbow back to the eaves. When I got to the top and looked closely, to my surprise, there was no screw holes on the elbow …the original installer, not Gutter Force, had not put any screws on that elbow to attach it. They had forced it up tight to the outlet and had screwed it at the strap holding the pipe to the wall. Some Installers do this to save time. It had come loose but had never been properly attached in the first place…. so it Was Not our responsibility. I screwed it back properly, then called the customer to explain what I observed and that there would be a charge for me going back to attach the elbow that was never properly screwed on in the first place. She did not believe me and said that our crew must have knocked it loose because” it was “fine before we were there”. I insisted we had done extra work and made the extra service call to fix something that was not our fault and there would be a charge. She insisted that we must have knocked it loose. At this point I did get emotional and preachy … I criticised her generation of wanting quality services but not wanting to pay for them. I then said “forget about the extra charge and just pay the original cleaning bill which we had done to their satisfaction …. I closed with, don’t call us again to do any services on your house again, which I now regret saying… I am sorry… I was tired and burnt out after a busy long season … we came back and fixed the problem and she was not charged any extra amount.
In summary: We do our best to be a “10” at Customer service and quality .We came back and fixed something we did not break. She got what she wanted fixed at no cost to her. We gave in.
To have a contractor come back to fix small things they should get a 10 ! (even if he was a bit testy)
