A Buyer's Choice Home Inspections

They mentioned something huge (water will come into your basement and destroyed your house, etc.) and scared the hell out of the buyer, but not put in the report. Minor issues became major defects, I don't understand why they want to scare the buyer? To show they are "professional"?? Cosmetic problem became a huge deal, only a couple hundred dollars and one handy man 2 hours jobs became a $25K cost estimated by the buyer based on their "professional" inspection.
DO NOT USE THEM!!!!!!!

We used A Buyers Choice for our property inspection in May 2021 and were told there were no major concerns, and due to the current real estate environment at the time, we wouldn't have gotten any money off anyway. Fast forward to late July when we get possession we start renos and living here - major water leaking into a basement from a running toilet ($1800 fix), mould in the basement, horrid panel that needs to be re-wired (they couldn't "access the box"), furnace issues, etc. Who else knows what we'll find as we get more into winter. They were rushed, didn't like us asking questions throughout, and overall didn't feel professional. We overpaid for our house and could have used the inspection as ammo to pay the appropriate amount to cover the cost of headaches and repairs...

Missed a massive problem uncovered 18 months after new home purchase.

Roof leaks, half of the roof is rotting and nothing but excuses !

This company is a Joke !

Not a proper home inspection
Like a wannabe Holmes on Holmes
That really doesn't have a clue
Inspection came up with ridiculous little things
And not real issues, like writing up gas leaks when no such thing exist, even though I myself am a gas fitter

Had pleasure doing business with A Buyer's Choice Home Inspections. They came early on site with 2 inspectors, very knowledgeable team and had provided me with so much information about the house. Very friendly and always there when needed them. The report was clear and easy to read. they spend more than 2Hr on site to make sure everything is inspected.

I was recommended to Shawn to do my home inspection and with very little notice he came out made sure we were taken care of. He was able to finish the inspection and provide us with a report within 24 hours, I would recommend him to anyone looking to buy a home.

We don't recommend him, he missed major issues in inspection that we found out after purchasing the property,
if you ask him for inspection then try to be at the site during inspection , his report was insufficients ....
