Bowman Masonry Restoration Ltd

Our 90 year old fireplace started leaning forward during renovations, so the face needed to be rebuilt. We did a lot of shopping around. Guy Bowman was quick to attend, provide a quote and get the job done fast (quality work, too). And of course his price was very reasonable. It was a pleasure doing business with him. This is my first time commenting on HomeStars, but I felt it was the least I could do for Guy, as a thank you. When it can time to enter a "rating", it had to be a "10" since he was simply perfect (and I am very picky and critical). - Ed

I am a General Contractor operating in the GTA and have used Bowman Masonry on numerous occasions over the course of the last ten years. They were originally recommended to me by a third party and as a result of that first project we have successfully collaborated on renovations ranging from small chimney repairs to major structural brick openings. Guy Bowman and his crews provide a high level of service and professionalism, which, when combined with craftsmanship, provide the necessary attributes I expect from my subcontractors. I am happy to recommend their services.

Bowman Masonry did some brick work for me a while ago. They were excellent. The guys were very professional. I think it was the owner’s son and another guy who did the work. They were on time more or less, which all you can expect in downtown Toronto. I didn’t get any other quotes for the work so I can’t say much about the price, but I wouldn’t definitely recommend these guys.

A couple of years ago I hired Bowman to do our chimney and they did such a good job that I ended up calling them again to replace some brick and put some cement down. When they did the chimney job it was definitely a reasonable price. I didn’t do any shopping around for the other project, though, so I can’t compare it with anything. In general these guys are great and I’d highly recommend them.

I chose Bowman Masonry because they had done some work for my mother several years ago and we were satisfied with that job. I know it took awhile to secure a date for my chimney removal because of the rainy weather we had earlier in the season. Once Guy committed to a date - it happened on time - the two fellas did a lovely job. We had asked to keep the 'good' bricks and they piled them in an orderly fashion where my husband requested. You can't tell I ever had a chimney - they matched the shingles to the existing roof. I would certainly recommend your company.

Guy, your son & workers did what looks like a fantastic job on the chimney, and exercised great care re our new siding, eavestroughing, roof etc., etc. So, a hearty thanks. Much appreciated.

We needed our chimney rebuilt , all our windowsills repaired (the mortar had fallen out of the sills when we had our windows replaced) and we had a ladder shaped crack between the bricks on the side of our house that needed to be fixed. I contacted Guy and within a week of his very reasonable quote, all the work was done! Fantastic service, excellent work and thorough clean up. You can't even tell where the crack was or how far down the chimney they went since the brick was matched so perfectly. Guy and his crew were very knowledgable, answered all our questions and they did not try to convince us to do more work than was necessary. Our final bill was as quoted and we were not charged any extra even though they had to go down an extra two layers on one side of the chimney. Overall, we are very satisfied with the work done and would highly recommend Bowman Masonry to others.

The Bowman team were extremely professional and very customer centric. The job was completed in a timely manner with great sensitivity to being neat and tidy. I would recommend this company to any of my friends.

I just moved into my house and needed to look after my chimney. I’ve collected few quotes and had different recommendations and prices. I went with Bowman Masonry Restoration ld.
