Luke's Roofing

He is the slowest ever. A one day job, he told us he would be done within a few days.... it took 3 month. Afterwards his “fixed” roof leaked!!!! He never returned our calls! Please beware!!!

We hired Richard Luke of Luke's Roofing to fix our roof. He took a $1200 deposit back in February 2016 and now he has disappeared. Please be careful if you encounter Richard Luke to fix your roof! A deal isn't a deal if he takes your deposit and never returns.

I'd used Luke's Roofing before so called him about a serious leak in my roof. When he finally appeared, he said the problem was minor; he'd need $235 for shingles. He took the cheque, cashed it and vanished, have not heard from him since. Now I've read other bad reviews on-line. Another roofer did the job which was not minor at all. Avoid Luke's Roofing at all costs.

He comes accross as very knowledgable but then when doing the work, cuts corners, didn't create the minimal slope for flat roof so water just puddled and froze. He didn't replace rotting wood either, just covered over until I caught him and then he replaced it. I made him to it over again with the proper minimal slope but it took him a year and a half to come back and do it and I still paid for half the supplies to redo it just so he would come back and do it properly

During the recent big rain storm in Toronto our roof started leaking and we were getting water in our living room. We spoke to Ben of Luke's roofing who immediately provided tarps to prevent any further damage without any commitment from us at that point to hire them. We were very impressed and grateful for the immediate assistance. Initially we thought they were a bit pricy; however, once we saw how thorough the job was we were very happy with our decision to hire them. They were very prompt, tidy and professional. We are very satisfied with the work and would definitely recommend them to our friends and family. Thank Ben again for the great job. Peter

Richard Luke is very professional, conscientious, and meticulous. He was recommended by a friend who had him replace her roof 5 years ago, the inspector said it was a work of art. I agree. He doesn't work quickly but he was at my house everyday. He does all the work himself insuring that it is done right. I am so happy I made the choice to go with Richard.

Luke and wished we had called him the first time around. He came right away and did a great job fixing the roof and its been great since then. I have recommended hom many times and would use him again.

We retained the services of Luke's Roofing on September 15th 2009 to redo a flat roof, install Hardi panels on an addition, and install new eaves and downspouts. As of June 6th 2010, the work wasn't done. Throughout the months in-between there were multiple leaks, causing major damage in the home. The owner kept promising he would show up an do the work - he didn't. We ultimately canceled the contract on June 6th. An employee hadn't been paid and threatedned to put a lien on the house - we paid him eventhough the contract with Luke's Roofing covered materials and labour. We paid and were left with a damaged home. Stay away from this company!
