The Home Professionals No Longer In Business

Like previous reviewer Joe Bala (August 3rd), I got a voucher deal to have my chimney cleaned. And Like Joe Bala, I am suspicious about the service. The Groupon said they would inspect and clean the chimney, and that it would take about an hour. Well, while the technicians might have been on the property for about 35 minutes, they were on the roof for maybe 10. There was no evidence that anything was cleaned. I was near the fireplace during the visit and I heard no sound at all. Like previous reviewers, no soot came down, and I saw no evidence that any cleaning had been done. I was about to see what they were doing by going outside, but they were done so quickly I missed my chance. The Groupon didn't indicate that they would clean the fireplace, so I won't hold it against them that they didn't enter the house except to get the voucher.

They didn't tell me the fruits of their inspection. The technician was polite and kindly explained that he recommended some more work - on my eaves - which I declined, but having had my chimney cleaned before, I don't think anything much was done (if anything at all).

I realize that many companies have Groupon-remorse -- they sell a ton of Groupons, then provide a sub-par service because the visits are unprofitable -- but I can't recommend this company. My suspicion: they have some polite guys come to the house, go on the roof, take a photo of leaves in the gutter in order to recommend other services, but don't do the work.

I had Home Pro do my eavestrough cleaning, roof maintenance package and upper window sealing. I was very satisfied with the work done. The technician was knowledgeable and professional. I would recommend this company!

I called Home Pro Exterior Services cause my roof was leaking. The service man came out later that day and was able to access the problem. He provided a temporary solution right away and booked me to have the remainder of the work done. Everything went well and I have not had the leak since

We got 2 groupons for chimney cleaning. The technician we got was very professional and friendly. He explained every step he is going to do before he starts and cleaned up afterwards. We are very happy with the service from the technician sent to us. He also noticed a crack on the chimney, although we can technically caulk it ourselves but he was able to give us 50% off.

I used a Groupon for the Chimney Cleaning service. Was told our chimney was clean, so didn't need much in the way of brushing. They inspected the exterior and noted where some work could be done (some caulking). I figured I could do it myself and save the $50. Overall, polite and professional technician.

This is the first time I am posting a review about a company. I usually do not have time to post reviews but my experience was so horrible that I thought this was necessary. I had home pro come to my house for a chimney cleaning but after checking their website that lists animal proofing as a service they provide, I asked them to investigate an animal problem we were having. I was charged $630 for "animal proofing" that was completed. Bill assured me that there was no way the animal would get back into the house and if I had a problem to call him. I heard animal sounds a few days later and when I called home pro, all they could say was that there is no warranty on animal proofing. I told them I wanted someone to come and investigate and they gave me an appointment for a week later because they were "too busy". No one showed up for the appointment and I didn't receive a phone call from home pro about rescheduling. I called a few times to reschedule and they did not call me back with an appointment. After numerous attempts to get an appointment (at this point it was 3 weeks from the time the initial animal proofing was done), I got very upset and finally spoke to Scott at home pro. I felt that Scott was rude and unprofessional. He said they did not have to come back to investigate the animal issue because there is no warranty and that it was a "courtesy". I told him that I paid $630 for animal proofing that clearly didn't work. I also told him that I am a lawyer and that this was unacceptable and that if I didn't get my money back that I would pursue legal action against the company and his response was "go ahead, we will not pay you back and you know how hard it is to collect the judgment." I was shocked by his response and quickly realized that Scott was not going to help me and called another company to address the animal problem. The other company came the same day I called and quickly and accurately identified the entry point of the squirrels that was missed by home pro. They also charged a lot less than what home pro charged me. It is clear that home pro does not care about customer satisfaction after they get paid. I gave them ample opportunity to rectify the situation but they clearly did not think it was a priority. I have never been treated so poorly by a home services company and I do not believe that Home Pro should list animal services on their website.
