Markstone receieved $1,700 deposit from me to lay interlocks on my driveway, pouch, & patio. Total cost was $17,500. I was convinced to make upfront payment of $1,700. The only job they did was remove my Alsphat after which they declined to continue with the project because the wanted to be paid another $7,900 before proceeding. i said they would be paid based on percentage of work completed but they declined. They have not refunded back my deposit.

Hello,
As per contract, Markstone Landscaping always collects a 10% deposit ($1700). Once work commences (first step: removal of asphalt/excavation and gravel) we then deliver the stone to proceed with installation at which point second payment of 45% is due to pay for the first step noted above and the interlock stone. Due to your refusal to provide us with second payment for the excavation and interlock stone, we had to stop the job and without prejudice go our separate ways. Please refer to the agreement and best of luck.
