pelican decks

My deck was in desperate need for a makeover. Pelican provided a good estimate and the work was professionally done. I am very pleased with the pelican team and would definitely recommend them.

We have a very large deck, part covered part not with and irregular shape and three large stone pillars. The deck is only 7 years old but because the builder did not vent under the deck properly the plywood sheeting rotted out. Bob had his crew, Chris, John and Nathan remove the railings, which were sent out to be re-powder coated, strip all of the old plywood, replace 4 of the 2" x 12" stringers, box in under the pillars properly and tie them to the engineered beam and pilings, cut 8 - 21"x 8" vents and an access door, and then replace the covering with new Duradeck. They managed to do all of this work in 3 pretty long days.

I watched the work they did and it is a FAR superior install to the one I had done in Calgary by the Duradeck agent there 7 years ago. Bob' crew sanded all of the plywood, seams and screw lines, then used a filler compound to fill all of the seams and screw heads. They then did a great job of laying out the membrane and matching it to the three pillars as well as the whole length of the joint on the house.

They were quick, clean good at what they do and a pleasure to deal with.

I cannot say enough what a great job Bob and his employees did on our deck which was previously covered with a terrible (cheap) product. The guys worked hard all day and installed a great quality covering at a very fair price. I rarely take the time to write reviews but I felt compelled as I consulted this site when we were considering which company to go with. I would not hesitate to recommend Pelican Decks to anyone - they truly are fantastic. Thank you again.

If you are in the market for Duradek products, look no further than Pelican Decks. I had a deck over my garage replaced in June, 2011. Bob drove out to my acreage, gave me a quote and an estimated time frame for the work. Bob and his crew of Ibro and Alen were super. They finished in one very long day, leaving no mess for me to clean up. Bob even fixed my garage door for me! And the best part is that he phoned several times after the work was completed to follow up and make sure that I was satisfied with the job.

The boys at Pelican drove out to the acreage, not a short drive were a ways out of town, to give an estimate and show us samples of thier beautiful product line. We chose glass. Everything was installed on the timeline provided, not a small feat, judging by how busy they were and the response I received from other companies. We are happy with the end result.
