No recourse for appliance damaged after purchase and before delivery

Our appliance was delivered with damage that it did not have the day we bought it. (Significant scratches and chip out of glass door).It was either damaged in transit or the faceplate was changed out before it was delivered. We called about 36 hours after delivery to report the damage as the delivery personnel left our premises quickly that night and we did not have the opportunity to inspect the unit. When we called to address the issue, we were told that we should’ve called within 24 hours and that all they could do was replace the faceplate if we transported the massive unit to and from their store. At our expense! Stay away from this place.
