The work was fine except for the need for a good vacuum afterwards. But after 20 years there was very little dirt indicating that once every 20 years is about right.
Also, I didn't appreciate the offer of a rebate for a perfect review on this site. I am particularly disconcerted by HomeStars failure to acknowledge that this is a practice they don't support

This review I find rather perplexing for 3 reasons.
1) All customers are informed of the possibility of the need for minimal vacuuming upon completion, as copied here from the email sent to D.B.:
"•Be aware that duct work is tight but rarely sealed. Once disturbed, dust can leak through joining straps and cleats and fall from on top of duct work.
•Duct cleaning includes no sealing procedure. All available measures are taken however, to keep this procedure as dust free as is practicable. Localized household vacuuming may be necessary after duct cleaning."
Extrapolation of the acceptance of the appointment therefore means accepting the conditions.
2) The pictures we took clearly indicated a thick layer of dust and dirt that accumulated over 10 years. Perhaps D.B. is tolerant of inhaling dead human skin cells, dust mite feces and millions of tiny insect corpses, but I sincerely doubt that his respiratory system is in agreement.
3) No rebate was offered in exchange for a perfect review. The gift card was our way of saying thank you for your business, and of course, we encourage a 10-star review.
As both you and I are seniors, it's unlikely that we shall meet again in 20 years. Thank you for the review D.B.
