Jk Crown Moulding

Used JK Crown Moulding for our new house .Alexandr suggested to install foam crown moulding and we agreed.
The installation was done very good with good quality and quickly.
When I started painting it ( the moulding was primed and we were told that primer was not required) with Benjamin Moore water based paint for mouldings and ceilings one of the room cracked almost everywhere.
I had to use oil based primer (two coats ) for the other rooms and it saved the moulding from cracking.
Tried to contact Alexander several times.... Useless. Ignored phone calls and messages for 2 ,5 months. And only after I posted this review and forwarded a copy to Alexandr he finally replied saying that he doesn't make the moulding ,he only installs it.
That's very upsetting that professionals don't stand behind their jobs.
I will never use this company again and advise not to use them.

I just want to share my experience with this trustable company. We just finished our renovations in our house and every time I look at the work that has been done I want to thank Alex for his beautiful job. Everything that he promised was done on schedule and he was very pleasant to have work in our home. His crown moulding is a peice of art we really recommend it. Thank you Alex for your wonderful job and we look forward to working with you in the future.

Initially we were excited to work with Jonathan and Sasha as they came quickly to provide a quote and the price was reasonable.

However, we received a call the morning the work was to begin to advise us that they would not be able to make it because they needed to finish another job. It would have been nice to know this in advance as we had taken time off work, but this was a minor set back compared to the events that followed.

Because we requested crown moulding and baseboards to be added upstairs in addition to the main floor, the job was going to take longer than anticipated and my fiancé and I were weary of taking additional time off work. Sasha said that “if we trusted him” we could leave him with a key and he could let himself in to do the work. We were hesitant but he seemed like a nice man and we wanted the work done as soon as possible so we provided him with a garage door code (instead of a key) and allowed him to enter the house while we were at work.

Needless to say, this was a mistake. Sasha hired another person to do the work in our home, and one day we came home to see that no work had been done, however our bottle of vodka had significantly less alcohol in it. We are just lucky that this was all that was taken from our home.

Sasha apologized and said that he fired the worker so we tried to move passed that issue.

After another few days, the majority of the work was completed. There were still approximately 60 linear feet of baseboards left to install and caulk, however Sasha recommended not to install these baseboards in the powder room and entrance until after our new tiles were installed. He was also supposed to purchase and install two closet doors for our entryway - which he also recommend waiting to finish until after the tile installation.

Sasha promised he would come back to finish the work once the tiling was complete. We paid him all but $200 of our agreed upon quote. We gave him our thanks and said we’d be in touch.

We called Jonathan and Sasha as soon as the tile work was complete and Sasha hasn’t come back. It has been three weeks. Several messages were left with both Jonathan and Sasha. Jonathan responded saying Sasha would be in touch with us soon. After some time, Sasha finally called back to advise he would try to come on the weekend. He didn’t come, or call to say he wouldn’t make it. After another week, we messaged Jonathan to ask if they planned on coming back because we wanted the agreed upon work completed - no response.

Upon meeting and hiring Sasha, we did not think we’d be writing anything short of a positive review. But seeing as we have to find another person to complete the work and now we are forced to incur additional installation fees we would not recommend hiring JK moulding simply due to the extreme lack of professionalism.

this is our second time to engage Alex's crew. WE had a big job including :
Raising door frames and replacing all doors , raising wall arches and dressing then up in a very elaborate trim work, replacing moldings and chair rails.
The job was done beautifully, in addition to a great technical skills, Alex has a great sense for proportions and a good eye on best way to add valuable character to your home

We are beyond satisfied with the final look of our baseboards, crown moulding and wainscoting. Our house looks so much more elegant. Very friendly and great workmanship. I would highly recommend jk crown moulding to anyone.

I can't begin to tell you how many compliments we have received about our crown molding! Thanks to Johnathan and his dad, our home is now complete. The job they did was spectacular. They took their time, the quality and workmanship shows. We will definitely use them again for future projects. Highly recommended!!!

In a matter of two days our future baby’s room was transformed into the condos best room. We had the pleasure of speaking with Johnathan and he made us feel comfortable and informed. Not only was the work spectacular to us (being first time home owners) but the painters that followed after were very impressed. We hired JK after we saw his previous projects. From the initial discussions until the completion of the work the entire team of JK , lead by Sasha , was simply outstanding.
Great designs, outstanding quality, neatness and timely execution was really impressive.
His committment towards his customers is commendable.

Sasha did crown moulding for my house and the results are actually quite spectacular, we're very impressed with the end product. It gave our residence the exact style of face-lift we were hoping it would achieve when we hired him. And he did a great job, everybody that has seen it agrees it looks fabulous. All that said, I did run into a personal issue where I experienced water damage to part of the crown moulding. I immediately contacted Sasha, he answered his phone the first time I called and we scheduled a date / time for him to replace this damaged piece in my house. That date and time passed and Sasha did not arrive. I called him back to schedule again and could not get him live again so quickly this time.....it took many calls to get him live, and we actually scheduled a date / time on TWO additional occasions, and both of these times he no-showed me as well! Calls again to him go to his voicemail. Is replacing this piece of his previous job too small of a project for him? Perhaps it is, though I'd rather he'd have just told me so instead of making me chase him for weeks with many broken promises of dates that he no-showed me. Many months have now passed since I last contacted Sasha (this job was completed in September 2015), I eventually had to buy the replacement piece from elsewhere. The point being, don't expect great after-sales service / support from this company. Their pricing is great, and their product is an A+, but their service leaves a lot to be desired. For that reason I cannot recommend them to anybody.

JK Crown Molding just finished work at our place and I must say that they are most professional trades people that I have ever met. Their quality of work is the best you can get. They are very polite and totally focused on the work they have to do. Thank you Alex and the other team members. You are the best. The amazing level of service started when I contacted JK Crown Molding after reading their reviews on Home Stars. Alex came to our house to measure and then provided a detailed estimate via email. I then booked them a week in advance of when the work was needed to be done. All their crew was at my home exactly at the time they promised! When does that happen?? There was no talk of upsell or any confusion of what is included and what is not. I need to change some scope of work before they started and I was given a quick estimate for the deletion and addition which made it clear to me how much extra I would need to pay. So they have me as a customer for life. I wish I could give them more than 10 stars
