Well let's start at the beginning. Booked a moving service with this company. My mother overheard this conversation. I've been phoning a bunch of other moving companies. I settled with this one, they ensured me my bedroom set would be bubble wrap and protected. I had precious brand new fuitniture from The Brick not even three months old. I even had the Brick come and fix a scratches and wood damage from the delivery. I Express this to James he ensured me that the move would be successful. I left out of town for work, I left my girlfriend and my mother too deal with the move. My girlfriend was really frustrated as well as my mother. I had to move from Coqitlam to Coquitlam. Inside the Coquitlam City, they tried to charge me $1,000 for the move with four movers, for 6 hours of labor that's outrageous! I have never in my life been charged that much money to move a 3-bedroom house. They went and damaged my brand new furniture after totally emphasize that had to be protected. I paid them $500 out of a thousand they tried to invoice me. I just returned back from out of town as for 6 days they have not returned my email. I am totally frustrated and my furniture isn't repaired and I want to discuss why the move took 6 hours to move a 3-bedroom house. Just a heads up this company is shady my mother and my gf is also going to post a review so please watch below. They had to deal with this issue so their story is accurate. I'm trying trying to get my brand new furniture repaired. He doesn't even have the balls to call me or email me back.

We are very impressed with Homestead Moving. James and his crew were very organized, efficient and hard working. They took great care of our possessions, using blankets and shrink wrap where necessary. The price was fair and we will definitely call them again next time we move. Highly recommended!

Homestead Movers were recommended by friends of ours. Having a torrential rainfall on moving day, January 22, 2012, James and his crew carefully took extra care to shrink-wrap every one of our articles. Soaking wet, the crew worked tirelessly until every last piece of furniture was safely relocated to our new home.

From the rude owner to the complaining movers this was a bad experience. The cost came in 30% over the quoted price and they lost some items and damaged some. I had even purchased insurance and was told that the lost items weren't large enough in size to claim (4 only 11 x 16 framed pictures from my European vacation as well as my Ipod dock). Stay far away!

The moving crew arrived on time. There were no damages. The movers were polite and showed positive attitude. They were very hard working. Im very impressed by their work and would recommend them to anyone.

homestead movers did not talk to us in a pleasant manner or explain situations well. they could not get our boxspring up the stairs and offered to break the wall or break the boxspring. the mover was very unpleasant and rude. we found the moved to be very stressful and the movers were also stressed. our house was packed up and ready to go on the day of the move and we felt that they should have made our move stress free. they complained about the way we packed our belongings in different sized boxes though had not informed us that this is a problem in advance. it would have been better to do the job ourselves.

We hired this company to move us. We hired two movers and one truck. When they showed up, they told us they didn't have time to complete our move so they had to bring more guys in to help load and unload the truck. There was no mention of extra charges due to the requirement by them to have more men on hand. None of them were careful with our items and they even broke several things, all of which were partical board and in their contract, it conveniently states they don't cover damages to partical board. One of the movers even showed up with a large dog that was running all around the yard of our new home, which did not allow pets. Our landlords lived next door and thought we were the ones with the dog so we had to convince them we had no pets. When we received the bill it was a whopping $1300+ after being quoted between $600-$800, and what were we being charged for? The extra guys they brought to work. I will never do business with this company again.
