YET ANOTHER UPDATE: We were supposed to have installers out to our home yesterday (June 14), I could not be there so I hired a local person to be at the house for the installation; AGAIN NO ONE SHOWED UP!!! This is the second time we have had a no-show for the installation and no one called to say they weren't coming. Initial installation was great, after that you are on your own. I highly recommend that you look into post instal customer service before you use this company. YOU MAY ALSO NOTICE THERE HAS BEEN NO COMPANY RESPONSE TO MY POSTS, (UNLIKE MANY OTHERS ON THIS PAGE).
UPDATE: Even though we got through to someone who was very helpful and responsive, she moved departments before our job was complete. We had a date set to have our windows replaced and appended for someone to be on site (this is our cottage). The installers were supposed to be there between 12 & 2. No one showed up!! When I called to find out where the installers were I was told that the job was cancelled for the day and they "forgot" to call me. I have been trying to get in touch with someone at Landmark for 4 days and have had no luck. BOTTOM LINE: Initial instal and customer service is great - best service and quality. If something goes wrong with your window you are out of luck! They do not appear to care!!
UPDATE: We finally got through to someone at Landmark who was very helpful and responsive. The issue appears to have been resolved as long as the repair and installation of the replacement windows goes smoothly.
About 5 years ago we spent more than $40,000 to have all of the windows in our cottage replaced. We were told that the windows had UV protection and there would be no fading of our furniture, no heat loss and they would be entirely energy efficient. Almost immediately after the windows were installed we started to have trouble with the locks. With the double hung windows you would have to stand on the window ledge to hold the top window up while you slam the bottom window and they would lock. With the sliding doors you have to simultaneously slam the door and push the lock down - its tricky! Recently one of our windows cracked, when I moved the sofa cushion to look at the crack I noticed that our sofa had started to discolour. I phoned Landmark to see what we could do about getting the cracked window replaced and what could be done about the locks and the faded furniture issue. I have been trying to get in touch with someone from Landmark since March 6, 2017. I have left messages, I have traded emails and I have been told "I am meeting with my manager to discuss this issue and will call you this afternoon". Surprisingly, I have not had a phone call or an email with any possible options for resolution. I am appalled at the customer service of Landmark, I am very unhappy with the quality of the windows and I am shocked that what we thought was a reputable company would treat customers this way. I HIGHLY RECOMMEND THAT YOU GET YOUR WINDOWS SOMEWHERE ELSE!!!
