Five years ago, we had a major house fire. The house was gutted down to the 2x4s due to all the smoke and water damage. A year later it was rebuilt, at which time we had the ducts cleaned, or so we though, by an unnamed company.
We were always amazed at the speed with which dust would appear on the furniture after each time the house was cleaned.
A few weeks ago we saw a Marketplace episode on duct cleaning horror stories. They targeted one company in particular. Yes, the one who calls you almost every day. The one that works out of India. The show stressed that you hire a company who is a member of NADCA.
So, I Googled duct cleaners and NADCA and found Paul and his Duct Cleaning Specialists. Wow. Success and satisfaction on all counts. Top-notch.
You would not believe the crap that was in our ducts; big pieces of insulation, batteries, 6" pieces of 2x4s. I imagine that they even found soot from the fire still in the ducts. And my breathing....it isn't labored anymore. Wish we had paid attention to our bodies and called someone sooner. Call Paul. I am so happy we did that I have even done a Facebook posting lauding his company and warning against hiring the wrong company.
