Paul was a pleasure to work with. He is EASY to communicate with, polite and direct, he replied promptly when contacted before, during and after the job. He did an AMAZING job leveling our floors, ceilings and framing the walls on our main floor. The entire space which was off by several inches throughout is now PERFECT within an 1/8 inch across the whole span. He was super FAST (3 days) which reduced the stress on our family (baby, 4 yr old, dog) and neighbours. He is a true PROFESSIONAL, shows up on time, works hard throughout, cleans up after himself. His quote and final bill were the same and the breakdown of costs transparent. We will hire him again and RECOMMEND him highly!

I have received many quotes to raise my living room floor to be on the same level as my dinning room (one big room). Every contractor I called took days to get back to me and in some cases months to give a quote. When I did get it there was no breakdown on materials or plan on how they where going to do the job.
Paul is the only one that called me back right away and gave a quote with exactly what he will need for the job. He told me the job would start 8-8:30 showed up exactly 8AM raised my floor and than also leveled my dinning room (not part of the contract) at no extra cost. He also removed my archway dividing the living room and the dinning room what fantastic work.
I would use him again in a heartbeat and wouldn’t let anyone I know use anyone else. Paul is honest, thorough, and clean and gives a price that is very fair.

I found Paul's ad while searching kijiji for someone to frame my basement. This guy is extremely professional and the quality of workmanship is second to none. Paul, we'll see you in the spring to complete the other 2 jobs!

We had Paul come in to replace eight joists in our hundred year old house. He came by to look at our house the same day I contacted him through Homestars and had a quote ready the next day. Not only was the quote reasonable, Paul also made efforts to work around our schedule as he knew we were on a tight timeline. He coordinated with our structural engineer to iron out some details and make sure everybody was on the same page. Paul was knowledgeable, efficient and thorough. He came in to do the job when he said he would, cleaned up everyday before he left, finished on time, and did an exceptional job. I asked Paul to come to my house to finish some framing that was not completely done by a previous contractor. This is an especially important job because the house is over a hundred years old and will be used as a commercial property. Therefore, everything has to meet or exceed building code. As I found out, the previous contractor did not even use the right type of material, nor did he do the job properly. Paul fixed all the deficiencies. I found Paul to be honest and hardworking. There's a reason why he continues to have a "10" rating.

As a health care provider, I'd recommend Paul as your framing doctor;)

Paul the one man show of PTR did an excellent job repairing the poor build quality of my 15 year old home. The joists carrying the second floor master bedroom terminated into a steel beam and many had cracked due to sloppy notching by the original carpenter. My feeling was they needed replacement. Paul had no trouble with removing my subfloor, partition wall and the questionable joists and then expertly and precisely reconstructing the second story joists, subfloor and walls. The build quality of Paul's repair is dead on - It's plumb, level, square and very strong. Paul's pricing was very good and his expertise allowed him to work this job in a quick and efficient manner. Paul's eye for detail noticed the steel beam had settled and he raised the beam back to it's original position. Paul was here at the time he indicated he would be and on the days he had booked. I am thoroughly pleased and would recommend Paul - PTR to anyone and look forward to Paul helping finish my home renovation. Many thanks Paul from myself and the whole family!!
