Maximum Tree Care

We found Max online and his reviews though few seemed to show that his work and business was worth hiring. He promptly came out for the site visit and I had a quote within a few days. The work was scheduled to be done about 4 days after the quote. Both the price quoted and the timeline were more than acceptable. This is however where the professional service ended. One of his guys Peter, came on site to do the small amount of pruning that had to be done. The weather didn't co-operate that day and he was forced to prune quickly and left without the work being completed or cleaned up. Not to mention the quality of the work was quite poor. Certain trees were missed and some that were pruned had broken branches. I received an invoice that night from Max to pay the invoice, so I emailed him back to let him know I was unhappy with the quality of the work and to ask about someone coming back. He sent the same guy out the next day to finish what he'd started, though again 3 x 25' aspens were left un pruned. When I called Peter he said that he didn't see them and that communication between him and Max had been lacking on this job due to another large job they were working on. It took a third site visit for Peter to come back in order to get the work done. It was finally completed nicely and correctly. But it took 3 phone calls on my end following up each time to get the work done. No one followed up during the job or after. Peter even commented on the phone that they were losing money on this job coming back a 3rd time. As a customer this is not my issue. The first excuse of it was raining and we had to rush is fine, as long a you come back to do the work right. Not worth the effort on the phone calls and savings, as they were cheaper than other companies. Should have known better when I got the quote.
