Remove 100 year old Cast Iron Vent from Brick Exterior and Patch
I have a 100+ year old house with an old cast iron metal vent sticking out of the side. Most likely it was used for some kind of wood burning stove. The inside has been disconnected so it was only serving to provide a safe and dry home to birds nests and potential entry for other rodents into the house walls.
I called Sam and it didn't take him long to respond. He even gave me a quote over the phone indicating he knew exactly what it was. We scheduled a day to do the work and he showed up exactly when he said he would.
He chiseled away the brick around the vent, removed, the vent, and cleaned the inside area of tons of bird nest material. He patched it up and was gone within about an hour or so.
I am very happy and bye bye birds! Would recommend Sam to anyone.
