An assisted review is collected by a contractor on behalf of the homeowner after their work is completed. The homeowner must confirm the text of the review and may make any changes she or he deems appropriate. The homeowner then assigns the contractor a review score out of 10. Assisted reviews receive the same scrutiny as other reviews and must follow our review guidelines.
The old owners of our house did very little to upkeep the property. One of the big problems were the eavestrough and downpipes. While they looked ok there was water dripping from a few spots, there were some nails popping out and the brick was wet around the chimney. I spoke to two other eavestrough repair companies and they said that the eavestrough could be repaired. I wanted another estimate and was referred to Tip Top Trough by a co-worker and met Pierce at the house that weekend. He also said the eavestrough could be repaired but asked me why we would want to. He pointed out that the eavestrough was at least 20 years old and will need replacing in the next 2-3 years anyway. He said that to spend one dollar on repairing the eavestrough would be throwing money away. By installing new eavestrough we would be able to get the “biggest bang for our buck”. After discussing with my husband we agreed that replacement was the way to go. The Tip Top Trough crew was very polite and were careful around my landscaping. The eavestrough looks amazing and works great. Thanks for everything!
