George has been a staple in my real estate business for over 6 years. He has completed numerous inspections for both my buyers, sellers and also myself. During a pre-inspection in preparation for a sale, Mr. Gouviankis gave a detailed report not only on positive conditions but also pointed out where repair was needed that would assist in maintenance and improvement in preparation for selling. Neglect to do such things would have either turned customers away or forced a need for reduction in total sale price. My 80 year old parents were making a big move from Hamilton to Mississauga and I hired Avenue Home Inspection October 18, 2012 to Inspect a house my parents wanted to buy. Unfortunately my father become very ill in the process so I hoped everything would go well with the inspection so they could buy the home and move in asap. George did a quick inspection of the home and assured us there was no major issues. When my parents finally sold their home and moved in June 21, 2013, we discovered so many things that were not noted in the inspection report. One of the items was an unstable metal support beam in the basement, leaks in the ceiling of the garage, sever deterioration of the masonry in the arch above the front porch.

Please be cautious and don't use Avenue Home Inspections. When I contacted George his only explanation was that these items have been altered after the sale. Please do not use him to do your inspection, my elderly parents are now stuck with a lot of stress and the task making all these costly repairs.

I recently made a conditional offer on a resale home. Before the deal was finalized I had George at Avenue Home inspections perform a detailed inspection. I was very impressed with George's courtesy, thoroughness and professionalism. George did a thorough visual inspection of the home and then took the time to carefully explain his findings to me. His explanations were detailed yet simple and without sounding patronizing. I'm glad I selected Avenue and will recommend them to everyone I know!
